The Ramen Hut in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS.

The Ramen Hut, known as the Umai Diner (馬井食堂 Umai Shokudō) in the Japanese version, is a restaurant in Goha City in Yu-Gi-Oh! SEVENS. Although famed for its tasty ramen, it fell on hard times due to competition from the recently-opened GastroByte.

The Ramen Hut has existed since the time of Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!, during which it was more high-class and located at a different premises. The Goha Company rents the floor above it for their main office.[1]

History

Yu-Gi-Oh! GO RUSH!!

The Ramen Hut's elderly delivery women caused an urban legend of "the three Warp-Granny Sisters" that was busted by Yuhi Ohdo.[2] Tell Kawai visited Ramen Hut to watch the exchange Rush Duels between UTS and Manya Atachi, including the chaos unleashed by the Earthdamar.[3]

Menjaburo Omori joined the Rovian Bandits after meeting Yuna Goha at Ramen Hut, who had served him a head of broccoli when he asked for miso tsukemen and thrown naruto slices in his eyes when he protested. When the slices fell, Menjaburo saw them decorating the broccoli head beautifully and vowed never to forget that day.[4] Yuhi and Yuamu Ohdo passed the Ramen Hut while searching for Yudias Velgear, briefly visiting the Goha Company office above it; their search was solved when Naval Number 81, one of Fisher Sukai's skyfish, crashed into the Ramen Hut's window.[5]

The shopkeeper waited miserably in his store on the final day of opening to make one last bowl of ramen, and was eventually visited by Yuga Ohdo, Romin Kassidy, Gavin Sogetsu and Kaizo. The last bowl was eventually ordered by Saburamen, who was unaware of the restaurant's impending closure and had simply visited as he had heard the ramen was tasty, and he Rush Dueled Yuga for the bowl. As the shopkeeper made the ramen, he watched the Rush Duel and was inspired to keep his business going.

Many people trying out the new "Rush Ramen".

After the Duel, Saburamen told his gourmet friends Briscoe and Sushiko Maki about the restaurant, which began branding its ramen as "Rush Ramen", and their subsequent word-of-mouth spreading attracted more customers, resulting in Kaizo being used to assist the shopkeeper.[6] Professor Diggs, Trench, and Tracker visited the restaurant during their search for Gossie, Diggs dubbing it a "wonderful Jurassic", and they met Yuga and his friends outside, who had been guided their by Kaizo's "longing" detector.[7] Luke later visited Ramen Hut and had three bowls of ramen in a single sitting.[8]
