- The strip of paper containing Japanese Kanji in this card's artwork is most likely an Ofuda, which is a type of amulet or talisman made of wood cloth or metal that are issued by Shinto shrines.
- They are used because it is believed they ofudas protect a family in residence from every instance of general harm (i.e. curses). This may be exemplified in this card's effect, albeit in a somewhat case of situational irony, the ofuda is "protecting" the Deck from one of your opponent's Draw Phase and is in-turn, "cursing" your opponent in ceding their next said Phase.
- According to a Pojo post by Kevin Tewart, this card was mostly banned in the OCG because of the synergy with "Temple of the Kings".
