- This card can be searched via "Sangan" and "Mother Grizzly".
- This card can be reused with "Salvage".
- The strength of this card lies in its strong DEF for a monster with this particular effect. It can withstand attacks from "Gladiator Beast Laquari" (unboosted), "Dark Grepher", and "Elemental Hero Stratos".
- If your opponent has already attacked this card with a weaker monster to flip it face-up, and if they are about to destroy it with a stronger monster, use "Book of Moon" to give them a nasty surprise.
- Because this card can be "manually" activated (by Flip Summoning it), this card is useful in a "Monarch Deck", as you can destroy a monster, then tribute this card to Tribute Summon a "Monarch", taking 2 or more cards from your opponent. It's specially useful with "Mobius the Frost Monarch" and "Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch".
- This can can become a match-up nightmare against "Gladiator Beasts" as the "Gladiator" would not gain its effect.
- A common strategy is to flip this card, destroy a monster, then activate "Creature Swap" and give your opponent a 0 ATK Attack Position monster.
- Combo this card with "Debris Dragon".
- This card can work well in a "Genex" Deck, and if used with "Genex Controller" you can easily get out "Hydro Genex".
