- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Transmodify", "Broken Blocker", "Serpentine Princess", "Vampire Dragon", "Sphere of Chaos", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Mermail Abysspike", "Big Whale", "Shark Cruiser", "Underworld Egg Clutch" and "Mother Grizzly".
- This card can be reused with "Salvage".
- Special Summon this card with "Surface".
- Special Summon this card with "Debris Dragon's" effect, then tune them together to Synchro Summon "Gungnir, Dragon of the Ice Barrier" or "Black Rose Dragon".
- The strength of this card lies in its strong DEF for a monster with this particular effect. It can withstand attacks from "Gladiator Beast Laquari" (unboosted), "Dark Grepher" and "Elemental HERO Stratos".
- If your opponent has already attacked this card with a weaker monster to flip it face-up, and if they are about to destroy it with a stronger monster, use "Book of Moon" to give them a nasty surprise. This would work best if they had 2 stronger monsters left. Due to the fact you wouldn't want to waste the effect on the weaker monster that ran into it and damaged your opponent. (Unless it can attack twice that is.) You use the effect on one of the stronger monsters that has not attacked yet. "Book of Moon" after he commits to an attack by the second stronger monster.
- Because this card can be "manually" activated (by Flip Summoning it), this card is useful in a "Monarch" Deck, as you can destroy a monster, then tribute this card to Tribute Summon a "Monarch", taking 2 or more cards from your opponent. It's specially useful with "Mobius the Frost Monarch" and "Thestalos the Firestorm Monarch".
- This can can become a match-up nightmare against "Gladiator Beasts" as the "Gladiator" would not gain its effect.
- A common strategy is to flip this card, destroy a monster, then activate "Creature Swap" and give your opponent a 0 ATK Attack Position monster.
- This card can work well in a "Genex" Deck, and if used with "Genex Controller" you can easily get out "Hydro Genex".
- Keep in mind that this card is not a Flip Effect Monster because it doesn't have "FLIP" in its lore, so it is not negated by "Royal Command" and you do not banish all of them because of "Nobleman of Crossout".
