- Use this card's effect to flip down your Wind-Up monsters and reuse their effects.
- You can also use this to flip already used flip effect monsters like "Needle Worm" or "Morphing Jar" back into face down position only to have their effects go off again.
- This card can easily be summoned using "Batteryman AAA" while you have another copy of it in the Graveyard.
- In a "Batteryman" themed deck, you can use its effect on "Batteryman Micro-Cell" to special summon another Batteryman. This is especially effective if you already summoned a "Batteryman AA," so you can summon a second to increase both monsters' attack power.
- You can Xyz Summon this monster using "Gravekeeper's Spy".
- This card can be particularly useful in a Gravekeeper not only because they have multiple level 4 monsters to use for Xyz Material, but also because it can use its effect to reuse "Gravekeeper's Spy's" effect.
- An easy way to abuse this is to Flip Summon a "Gravekeeper's Spy" you already have set and summon a level 4 Gravekeeper with Spy's effect. Then Normal Summon another level 4 monster (likely another Gravekeeper) and Xyz Summon "Wind-Up Zenmaister" with the two level 4 monsters. Then use "Zenmeister's" effect to flip your spy down and gets its effect again during the End Phase.
- You can also use this to effectively use "Gravekeeper's Guard's" effect twice to return two monsters to the opponent's hand.
- In a Lightsworn Deck, you can use "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" to summon this card without losing initial card advantage. You can also use it to flip "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter" face down, after having flip summoned it, for another free destruction, and mill for 3. Another possible combo for Lightsworn decks is to use the effect of 2 "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress" and summon this card out to flip "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter" face down and gain even more advantage from destroying 2 spell/trap cards as well.
- This card is perfect for a reptile type Worm deck. It can be summoned with ease, with the help of "Worm Xex" and "Worm Yagan", and its effect can be used to flip cards like "Worm Apocalypse" and "Worm Cartaros" face down, allowing you to use their effects again. And as an added bonus, after becoming overlay, "Worm Yagan" won't be removed from play when it's removed from the field after being summoned by its own effect.
- This card can easily be summoned by the effect of Summoner Monk
