• As this card virtually cannot be destroyed by battle, use cards that prevent destruction by effect to make it virtually invincible. Examples of such cards: "Xyz Veil", "Utopian Aura", "Destruction Jammer", "My Body as a Shield", "Stardust Dragon", "Prime Material Dragon", etc.
  • Use "Royal Decree" to stop your opponent from using Trap Cards at all. That leaves your opponent only being able to destroy it with Spell Cards or Monster effects.

• If this card is targeted for an attack with no Xyz Materials, you don't have to reattach the original Materials, you can target different monsters.
  • Use this effect to attach "Tour Bus From the Underworld" to this card. If it gets destroyed, you can then use the effect "Tour Bus".

• This card combos well with "Xyz Veil" since it can always have an Xyz Material on it. Along with the fact that it can always negate any attack against itself, "Xyz Veil" will make this card unable to be targeted for destruction or bounce effects. Only removing "Xyz Veil" from the field or using non-targeting effects like "Dark Hole" will remove it.

• Use "Oni-Gami Combo" after activating its effect to attack directly, to inflict 5600 Battle Damage to your opponent.

• After exhausting this card's Xyz Materials, use a card like "Battle Mania", "Taunt" or "Staunch Defender" to force your opponent to help replenish them. Attempt to force the opponent to attack with a monster that is weaker than it or it can get destroyed by that battle.

Xyz Summoning

• One of the easiest ways to bring this card out is by using "Tannhauser Gate". You can use easy-to-Summon Level 5 or Level 6 monsters with 1000 or less ATK, then combine them, respectively, with Level 4 or Level 3 monsters with 1000 or less ATK and the same Type, use "Gate", then overlay for "Number 9: Canopy Star - Dyson Sphere".

• List of possible Level combinations to bring out "Dyson Sphere" with "Tannhauser Gate":
  • 1 Level 5 monster + 1 Level 4 monster (e.g. "Vice Dragon" and "Divine Dragon Apocralyph")
  • 1 Level 6 monster + 1 Level 3 monster (e.g. "Destiny HERO - Malicious" and "Destiny HERO - Doom Lord")
  • 1 Level 7 monster + 1 Level 2 monster (e.g. "Fog King" and "Apprentice Magician")
  • 1 Level 8 monster + 1 Level 1 monster (e.g. "Clockwork Shikigami" and "Cyber Larva")
    • This can work in "Hieratic" Decks with a Level 1 "Flamvell Guard" and a Level 8 Normal Monster like "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".

• Another highly recommended card is "Galaxy Queen's Light". With this, you will only need one Level 9 monster on the field - activate while you control another monster, then overlay the two for "Dyson Sphere".
  • For example, in a "Yubel" deck, you can Summon this card by using "Stygian Street Patrol" to Special Summon "Yubel", and decrease its Level to 9 for "Level Eater". Then, you can activate "Galaxy Queen's Light" or "Star Light, Star Bright", and Overlay for "Dyson Sphere". The combo uses only 2 cards from the hand and 2 from the Graveyard, and can be executed with any easily Summonable Level 10 monster such as "Metaion, the Timelord".
  • In a "Prophecy" Deck, you can summon this card by using "Spellbook of Life" to Special Summon "High Priestess of Prophecy", banish "Magical Calligrapher Batel" and increase Junon's to Level 9. Then, you can activate "Galaxy Queen's Light" or "Resonance Device", and Overlay for this card.
  • "Gem-Knight" Decks can also potentially bring out this card by using "Galaxy Queen's Light" on "Gem-Knight Master Dia".
  • In Fairy Decks, you can use "Valhalla, Hall of the Fallen" to Special Summon either "Moisture Creature" or "Winged Kuriboh LV9", Normal Summon 1 other Fairy-Type monster, then use "Galaxy Queen's Light" to make them both Level 9 for "Dyson Sphere".

• In a "HERO" Deck, you can use "Miracle Contact" to Summon Level 9 "Neos" Fusion Monsters, including "Elemental HERO Chaos Neos", "Elemental HERO Magma Neos" and "Elemental HERO Storm Neos", in an attempt to bring this card out.

• In WATER Decks, you can use the effect of "Lemuria, the Forgotten City" while you control only "Poseidra, the Atlantean Dragon" and "Mermail Abyssmegalo" since both are Level 7 monster "Lemuria" will raise both of their Level to 9.
  • A similar strategy involves using Lemuria on "Fog King" and "Illusory Snatcher".

• With "Foolish Burial" you can send a Level 9 monster from the Deck to the Graveyard and then use "Tragoedia" to target that monster and make the Level of "Tragoedia" 9. Then, summon a Dark Fiend-type monster and use "Resonance Device" to target that monster and "Tragoedia". Both monsters will become Level 9. Then overlay for this card. This kind of strategy mixes well with "Dark World" Decks.

• In "Photon" decks, you can summon "Photon Satellite" and proceed to use it's effect on a "Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon" to make both monsters Level 9 (1 + 8) and Xyz Summon this card.

• Make Gagaga Magician level 8 then use cards like "Noisy Gnat" or "Star Changer" to make it level 9. Combine with Gagaga Girl to Xyz Summon this card.

• Special Summon Photon Thrasher. Then special summon Guardian Eatos. Then activate any spell card(like Photon Lead) & summon Photon Crusher(or another monster with 2000+ ATK).

Tribute Photon Thrasher & the other monster with 2000+ ATK and special summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. Then normal summon Darklon to make the level 8 Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon & Guardian Eatos level 9. Finally Xyz summon this card.
