Thunder Spark is a non-human character appearing in the Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL manga. He is a Numbers Hunter working for Mr. Heartland in the Heartland Theme Park, disguised as an employee. He is also the first Duelist in the ZEXAL era to Duel in a Duel Runner-like system.

Design

Thunder Spark has many elements on his design that resemble lightning bolts; for example, his hair and the thunder drawings in his clothes.

His clothes look like a car pilot's clothes, which may be due to the fact that he Dueling in a Speed Duel system. He has big empty eyes, and curiously, seems not to have a mouth. He also wears a cloak and has armor-like boots.

Biography

Past

Thunder Spark is a kind of artificial human born from electron drips. Since he was a child, Thunder Spark could never touch anyone, because his body would electrify them. That continued until the present, making Spark be unable of shaking hands with the park's customers.

Present

Thunder Spark is first introduced together with Captain Corn and Princess Cologne-chan, as the "Guardians of the Theme Park". He uses his riding attraction "Speed Loader" to attract Numbers Holders, and then Duels them in a "Speed Duel" to obtain the "Numbers".

After Captain Corn's loss to Yuma Tsukumo, Spark appears and challenges Yuma to a "Speed Duel". Spark began overpowering Yuma with his "Number", but Yuma manages to win by using the "Number" he got from Captain Corn, "Number 50: Black Corn".

Spark says his last words to Yuma.

After winning, Yuma asks Spark to shake hands. Happy with that, Spark accepts, and feels good to being able to touch a person. He then says his last words to Yuma and quietly disappears in peace, returning to his original form.

Thunder Spark runs a Thunder Deck, spearheaded by his "Number 91: Thunder Spark Dragon". He uses many effects to swarm Level 4 monsters on his field in order to Xyz Summon the "Number", and uses cards like "Spirit Converter" to recycle its Xyz Materials and use its effect every turn.
