- With the new "Ring of Destruction" errata, the effect damage is not inflicted simultaneously. First, you take damage, then your opponent takes Damage. Therefore, it is now impossible to use Ring of Destruction to force a DRAW, as per a new rule found at the Yu-Gi-Oh Blog, if your Life Points hit 0 during a chain, the duel ends immediately.
- Due to its new wordings, your opponent will not take any damage if you take no damage at the first place. Keep this in mind with the below tips.
- Note that while this card cannot target a monster whose ATK is lower than your opponent's Life Points, it still deals damage equal to its original ATK. Using effects that lower a monster's ATK can cause this card to reduce your opponent's Life Points to 0.
- Use "Des Wombat" or "Ring of Defense" to stop both players from taking the effect damage from this card.
- "Prime Material Dragon" or "Rainbow Life" will increase your Life Points instead.
- If you control a "Black-Winged Dragon" you can gain a counter and destroy one monster on the field.
- Use "Barrel Behind the Door" to protect yourself and still damage your opponent.
