- In the first match of the Duelist Kingdom Finals, Yugi used this card against [Mai Kujaku|Mai]] to take control of her "Harpie's Pet Dragon". He couldn't attack "Harpie Lady" with it, but he was able to sacrifice the dragon for the effect of "Catapult Turtle".
- Against Pegasus, Yugi used "Brain Control" on "Relinquished", sacriificing the attached "Jigen Bakudan" to Ritual summon "Magician of Black Chaos".
- Yugi also used it as part of a combo to take down "Slifer the Sky Dragon", Controlling "Revival Jam.
- In the anime, "Brain Control" did not have a cost of 800 Life Points.
