* In Seto Kaiba vs. Noah Kaiba, Seto had Slate Warrior (Wind) and Vampire Lord (Dark) on the field. Noah activated Earthshaker and Seto chose Dark, thus destroying Vampire Lord. He did this because even though it has more ATK than Slate Warrior, it would be Special Summoned to the field during his next Standby Phase and Slate Warrior was still strong enough to destroy Noah's monster.

* In Yu-Gi-Oh!, Noah Kaiba uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. When Kaiba uses "Vampire Lord" to attack "Aeris", Noah activates this card and forced Seto to choose either DARK or WIND for this card's effect. Kaiba chooses DARK, so "Vampire Lord" is destroyed. Kaiba did this because even though "Vampire Lord" had more ATK than "Slate Warrior", it would be Special Summoned to the field during his next Standby Phase via its own effect.
