- As this card increases its own ATK and can cause piercing damage, it is an ideal card for playing with "Light of Intervention" and "Micro Ray".
- This card is good in combination with "Maestroke the Symphony Djinn".
- Use "Zero Gravity", "Windstorm of Etaqua" or "Enemy Controller" to move your opponent's monsters into Defense Position.
- Equip this card with "Armory Arm" for A LOT of damage.
- Once this card is in play, "Stumbling" can also be activated, forcing all opposing monsters into Defense Position when they are Summoned.
- In a dedicated "Blackwing" Deck, aid this card's effect by using the effects of "Blackwing - Elphin the Raven", "Blackwing - Fane the Steel Chain" and/or "Blackwing - Oroshi the Squall".
- If your opponent controls a Defense Position monster with a lower DEF value than the ATK values of any Attack Position monsters they control, use the effect of "Blackwing - Sirocco the Dawn" on this card, since it will inflict more battle damage with 1 attack this way.
- Use this card with "Book of Moon" to help make use of its effect.
- This card works well against some stall cards like "Spirit Reaper" and "Marshmallon", due to their low DEF, and the piercing damage will take your opponent slowly.
