• This card can be Special Summoned with "Bahamut Shark". It can Tribute itself as cost to negate an effect, which will trigger its last effect and retrieve itself (or another WATER monster) from the GY, and then it can be Special Summoned by "Bahamut Shark" again during the next turn.

• "Spright Elf" can Special Summon this card from the GY even during the opponent's turn, allowing this card's negation and recycling effects to be used twice during the same turn.

• "Swap Frog" can send "Ronintoadin" to the GY, which can Special Summon itself by banishing another "Frog" from the GY. Then, both can be used to Xyz Summon this card.
  • By Special Summoning "Swap Frog" with its own condition, returning it to the hand with its effect, then Normal Summoning it, both "Ronintoadin" and another "Frog" can be sent from the Deck to the GY.

• This card can also be easily Summoned in a "Paleozoic" Deck.
  • Keep in mind that "Paleozoic" Trap Cards that were Special Summoned via their own effects, unless a card that prevents banishing such as "Imperial Iron Wall" is on the field, cannot be send as a cost to activate this card's second effect.

• By Special Summoning "Dupe Frog" with this card's effect, the opponent will have more difficulty in removing this card by attacking it. This is especially useful against monsters that Special Summon themselves without activating effects, such as "Dinowrestler Pankratops" and "Alpha, the Master of Beasts".

• "Rescue Rabbit" can Special Summon two copies of a Level 2 Aqua Normal Monster from the Deck, such as "Slime Toad", to use for this card's Xyz Summon.

• If the player controls no Spell/Trap Cards, "Treeborn Frog" can be used every turn to activate this card's second effect.
  • Furthermore, "Treeborn Frog" can be Special Summoned with this card's first effect.

• This card's second effect can be combined with "Ultimaya Tzolkin", if a Spell/Trap Card or effect is negated.

• In a "True Draco" Deck, this card can be Special Summoned by the effect of "Metaltron XII, the True Dracombatant", and its last effect can be used to retrieve "True King Bahrastos, the Fathomer" or "Dinomight Knight, the True Dracofighter".
