• "Arcana Force XXI - The World" appears in this card's artwork.

• This card, "The Material Lord", and "The Spiritual Lord" all reference the three phases of apocalypse brought about by the coming of The Crawling Chaos, from the eponymous short story by H.P. Lovecraft.
  • In the Yu-Gi-Oh! GX anime, this trio of cards also makes reference to the Tower of Hanoi (also known as the Tower of Brahma). Whenever one is activated, a particular "size" of an "Arcana Force" monster must be in the Graveyard, and for two of them, a discard from the Deck must be made of one "size" higher (making "moves" with the golden disks). One must have the smaller "size" moved before one can move the larger "size."
    • Also, each card, when the Special Summoning effect is activated, unleashes a pillar of light, one red, one blue, one green (which, when combined in the light spectrum, creates the color white). As such, it's implied "the end of the world" will come by playing these three cards and summoning "The Light Ruler", reflecting The Light of Destruction's ambition (while possessing this card's owner, Sartorius) to destroy the Earth using the power of light.
    • The size of the three different types of golden disks is represented through the three groups of seven "Arcana Force" monsters.
      • "The Material Lord" represents the group of "Arcana Force" monsters that cannot be Tribute Summoned, making it the "smallest size"; it requires a a Level 4 or lower "Arcana Force" monster to send a Level 5 or Level 6 "Arcana Force" monster to the Graveyard.
      • "The Spiritual Lord" represents the group of "Arcana Force" monsters that can be Tribute Summoned with only one Tribute, making it the "medium size"; it requires a Level 5 or 6 "Arcana Force" monster to send a Level 7 or higher "Arcana Force" monster to the Graveyard.
      • This card represents the group of "Arcana Force" monsters that can be Tribute Summoned with two Tributes, making it the "largest size"; it requires a Level 7 or higher monster in the Graveyard to send all three "Lord" cards from the field to the Graveyard in order to Special Summon "The Light Ruler", reflecting how all the moves are made to reconstruct the Tower of Hanoi.
    • As each of the "Lord" cards can also be pronounced as the word "road" in Japanese (ロード Rōdo), the grouping of these three cards reference the three "roads" of the Tarot: "The Magician" through "The Chariot" (each numbered I through VII, all Level 4 or lower monsters), "The Strength" through "Temperance" (each numbered VIII through XIV, all Level 5 or 6 monsters), and "The Devil" through "The World" (each numbered XV through XXI, all Level 7 or higher monsters).
      • There is proof that the divisions in categorizing the "Arcana Force" in this way is valid, in that "The Chariot" and "The Strength" are butted up next to one another in number (VII and VIII) and "Temperance" and "Devil" are also in succession (XIV and XV). So in being representative of ending the world, it is also implied that The Fool has also reached the end of his "journey" because he's encountered something from each stage of his path.
