Unlike most of the other Duel Terminal archtypes, the [[Ice Barrier]] monsters do not seem to have affiliations. The Ice Barrier, known as Ice Boundary in the OCG, creatures are a series of WATER Attribute monsters that focus on increasing your Field Advantage through means such as Tokens and restricting your opponent's attack options and controlling the contents of your opponent's side. Many Ice Barrier Monsters require at least one additional Ice Barrier Monster on the field to use their effects. They were released in the OCG Duel Terminal - Synchro Awakening!!, Set with further support released in all of the following Duel Terminals. This Archetype will be present in the TCG in the Booster Pack Hidden Arsenal, some of the cards have be used in Tag Force 3 and Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's Stardust Accelerator.

Unlike most of the other Duel Terminal archtypes, the Ice Barrier monsters do not seem to have any affiliations. While it is suggested by card lore and effects that the Flamvell, Allies of Justice, Worms and Mist Valley archtypes are somehow linked, the Ice Barrier monsters appear to be exclusive. This may be a testimony to how this archtype earned its name, as the Ice Barrier realm is made impenetrable by protective members such as Blizzed, Defender of the Ice Barrier and Defying Troops of the Ice Barrier and so forth.
