- This card can be searched by "Soul Rope", "Vampire Dragon", "Resonator Engine", "Summoner Monk", "Shark Cruiser", "Burincess", "Mermaid Shark", "Underworld Egg Clutch" and "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth".
- This card can be Special Summoned by "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth's" effect, and if done so, you can even Synchro Summon two Level 8 monsters with his effect alone (if you summon two of "Royal Swamp Eel" and two other Level 4 Fish monsters with his effect).
- Note that even though "Superancient Deepsea King Coelacanth" negates the effects of the Fish-Type Special Summoned by its own effect, "Royal Swamp Eel" still needs Fish-Type Synchro Material Monsters because it is a condition, not an effect.
Traditional Format
- This card can be searched by "Witch of the Black Forest".
