- In some episodes of the English dub, this card is mentioned by its Japanese name: Master of Dragon Soldier.
- In the Japanese Version this monster's attack was called "Galaxy Crusher", while in the English dub, its attack is called "Dragon Saber Blast".
This card appears once in the Legendary Heroes story arc.
- Yugi fuses his "Black Luster Soldier" with Kaiba's "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to create this card, using it to destroy The Big Five's "Five-Headed Dragon" after its effect powered up its ATK (Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 045).
- In this arc, it gained 500 ATK points for every Dragon-Type monster on the field and in the Graveyard. It also had only 4000 DEF points.
This card also appears once in the Waking the Dragons story arc.
- It is used by Yami and Seto against Dartz along with the trap card "Meteorain" in an attempt to wipe him out early. However the damage was absorbed by "Orichalcos Kyutora" (Yu-Gi-Oh! - Episode 177).
This card also appears once in the Dawn of the Duel story arc.
- Pharaoh Atem fuses himself together with his "Black Luster Soldier", who in turn fused with Seto's "Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" to create Dragon Master Knight. He then fought Zorc. While Zorc managed to defeat the creature, it took a great effort as well as being injured in the process.
