- Due to the numerous negatives for this cards effect, a nice but difficult combo is this:
- 1. Activate "Dimensionhole" removing this card from play until your next Standby Phase, OR use "Oni-Gami Combo" to get rid of the Xyz materials faster and skip step 3.
- 2. When it returns, use "Creature Swap" to give it to your opponent.
- 3. Activate "Mask of Restrict" or "Curse of the Circle" to prevent your opponent from Tributing it.
- "Acid Golem" will have no Xyz Materials and will be under your opponent's control due to "Dimensionhole" and "Creature Swap"; thus, it cannot attack, the opponent will take 2000 damage AND cannot Special Summon.
- Could be useful in a Lockdown Deck.
- Use "Prime Material Dragon" or "Rainbow Life" to gain Life Points instead.
- Or use "Black-Winged Dragon to absorb the damage and convert it into Black Feather Counters to weaken and deal damage to your opponent during every turn.
- Or use "Mystik Wok" once this card has run out of XYZ materials to gain a quick boost of 3000 life points.
- "Axe of Fools" or "Skill Drain" can prevent this card's negative effect.
- Possibly may be in new lower level dominated "Skill Drain Deck".
- You can Xyz Summon this card very easily, for the effect of "Rescue Rabbit" and "Tour Guide From the Underworld".
- Feedback Warrior can help summoning this card as well.
- After all of its Xyz Materials are used up, use a card such as "Creature Swap" to gain one of your opponent's Monsters, have them take Effect Damage, and prevent them from Special Summoning.
- After giving it to your opponent, use "Curse of the Circle" to prevent them from Tributing it off.
- Use "Barrel Behind the Door" and/or "Spell of Pain" to redirect the damage to your opponent, or "Trap of Board Eraser" to negate the damage and force your opponent to discard a card from their hand.
- You can use "Spell of Pain", for reflect this card's effect damage, of your opponent. Use multiple copies in a deck based of this card.
- Since you already can't Special Summon because of this card, there's no big deal of activating cards that will stop you from Special Summoning like "Pot of Duality", "Cards from the Sky", etc. after 1 turn, of course.
- Activate the effect of "Koa'ki Meiru Hydro Barrier", then immediately use it for the Xyz Summon of this card. This way, you'll be able to Special Summon until your next Standby Phase and won't need to detach a Xyz Material during your next turn.
- Use "Creature Swap" after your "Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction" has no "Xyz Material" and change control each "field" one monster. When "Number 30: Acid Golem of Destruction" has change to your opponent. It can stun your opponent from "Special Summon" other monster and give your opponent 2000 damage each your opponent "Standby Phases".
- If your opponent has an Xyz monster, "Overlay Eater" can be used to prolong this card's usefulness.
- Even though you can't special summon with this card on the field, there are still plenty of cards that can be used to destroy, banish, or tribute it for an advantage once it burns through its Xyz materials, or you can just use it for a regular Tribute Summon.
- A good monster that can be summoned by tributing this card is "Great Maju Garzett", avoiding the 2000 damage penalty and surprising your oponent with a 6000 ATK monster.
- This card works well with "Megamorph". You can choose to let it keep damaging you so your Life Points will be lower than your opponent's for quite a while, and it'll remain a 6000-ATK beatstick, and you can still remove its Xyz Material to stop the damage if you start to get dangerously low on life points.
- Especially useful if you add in a way to attack directly, do piercing damage, or force opposing monsters into Attack Position.
- As this monster prevents you from special summoning, cards that allow you to Normal Summon multiple times per turn, such as "Ultimate Offering" and "Double Summon," might help compensate.
- If you plan on using both this card and "Ultimate Offering," "Megamorph" will be especially useful.
