- This monster appears to be a corrupted form of "Gem-Knight Crystal", with parts of "Gem-Knight Zirconia" (right arm and left leg), "Gem-Knight Master Diamond" (left arm and right leg), and "Gem-Knight Prismaura" (damaged head) grafted onto its body. The monster has the same stats as "Crystal".
- This monster may derive its name from the Cairn Gorm (Gaelic: An Càrn Gorm, meaning Blue or Green Hill), a mountain in the Scottish Highlands overlooking Strathspey and the town of Aviemore.
- The yellow mist emerging from Caingorgorm's head appears to be a larval form of "Shaddoll Roots," which is further supported by his head appearing in its artwork.
- As they have the same head, it would appear this monster eventually becomes "El Shaddoll Egrystal."
- The jewel in this monster's chest appears in the artwork of "El Shaddoll Midrash", in the staff of the puppet version of "Winda, Priestess of Gusto".
