Traditional Format/OCG
- This card can be searched by "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Soul Rope", "Resonator Engine", "Vampire Dragon", "Divine Wind of Mist Valley", "Kujakujaku", "E - Emergency Call", "Kid Guard", "Summoner Monk", "Dragunity Corsesca", "Dragodeus, the Empowered Warrior", "Freed the Matchless General", "Field-Commander Rahz", "Hero Signal", "A Hero Lives", "Reinforcement of the Army", "Masked HERO Dian", "Elemental HERO Shadow Mist" and "Witch of the Black Forest".
- "Elemental HERO Stratos" works well with "Skyscraper 2 - Hero City" (if it is destroyed by battle), and with "Elemental HERO Ocean" to get it back to your hand in order to Normal Summon during your Main Phase 1, either to get an additional "HERO" monster into your hand, or to destroy Spell and/or Trap Cards. This can create major advantage.
- If you have "Destiny Draw", you can search out a "Destiny HERO" monster of your choice to draw two cards. Useful cards for this are "Destiny HERO - Malicious", "Destiny HERO - Dasher" and "Destiny HERO - Departed".
- This card also works incredibly well in pure "Elemental HERO" decks, "Destiny HERO" decks or "Evil HERO" decks. If you run this card in a Deck as described, you can nearly always get the card you need.
- If your opponent has a strong monster on the field, Normal Summon "Elemental HERO Stratos", search out "Elemental HERO Captain Gold", and then use the efect of "Gold" to search for "Skyscraper".
- This card works extremely well with "HERO's Bond".
- If your opponent has a stronger monster, then Special Summon "Elemental HERO Stratos" to search for "Evil HERO Malicious Edge" and proceed to destroy them.
- This card works well with "Double Summon". Normal Summon "Stratos", use its effect to search out a HERO, then play "Double Summon" and Normal Summon the second monster.
- You can summon this card and search for any Elemental HERO and then fuse the two to summon "Elemental HERO Great Tornado" or even one of the other Omni HEROs.
- This card can be returned to the hand by "Mist Valley Falcon" and/or "Compulsory Evacuation Device". Then, it can be summoned again to re-use it's effect.
- This card can also be summoned by "Fake Hero" to use it's effect after it returns to the hand.
