- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Temple of the Kings", "Painful Escape", "Transmodify", "Chaos Zone", "Doomdog Octhros", "Magical Contract Door" and "Lucent, Netherlord of Dark World".
- This card can benefit from the protection of "March of the Monarchs" or "Safe Zone", however, remember to keep these 2 cards safe, as "Belial" can only protect monster cards.
- This card can be Tribute Summoned with one Tribute using "Double Coston" and "The First Monarch".
- Use cards like "Dark Illusion" and "Obsidian Dragon" in a deck based around "Belial - Marquis of Darkness" to somewhat keep him on the field longer.
- Use cards like "Mist Body" and "Spirit Barrier" in addition to the above strategy for an almost non-removable monster while protecting your Life Points.
- This card works well with "Jam Breeding Machine".
- Discard this card with "Trade-In", then Special Summon it with "Doom Shaman".
- Activate "Call of the Haunted" during your opponent's Battle Phase and Special Summon this card to protect your monsters.
- Use "Hardened Armed Dragon" and "Mist Body" to make this card indestructible.
- Equipping "Raregold Armor" or "Metalsilver Armor" to another monster makes it so your opponent cannot declare an attack or use spells and traps that designate a monster.
