Card Tips:Grinder Golem
- This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Chaos Zone", "Magical Contract Door" and "Doomdog Octhros".
- You can combo this card with "Summoning Curse", but be warned that you will have to banish a card from your hand as well. As such, it would be better if you had no other cards in your hand when performing this tactic.
- After Special Summoning this card, feel free to use "Creature Swap" to trade one of your Grinder Tokens with an opponent's monster, possibly this card.
- Use this card in a Tyranno Infinity deck with "Inferno Tempest" and "Soul Absorption".
- This card's Special Summoning effect helps provide monsters that can be used as Tributes to Special Summon a monster, such as "Destiny HERO - Plasma".
- You can combo this card with "Remove Brainwashing", making this card serve as a monster with high ATK or a potential Tribute to Special Summon a monster.
- Use "Compulsory Evacuation Device" to return this card to your hand, then Special Summon it again to obtain another two tokens; a good tactic for Special Summoning monsters that require 3 Tributes (or possibly a Synchro Summon).
- After Special Summoning this card, you can Tribute a Grinder Token using "Black Illusion Ritual", and use the effect of "Relinquished" to equip this card under your opponent's control to it.
- "The Atmosphere" can be used in place of "Relinquished", banishing the 2 Tokens you control (and a monster from your Graveyard) and equipping this card under your opponent's control to it.
- "Reptilianne Vaskii" can easily be Special Summoned by Tributing the produced Grinder Tokens.
- By Special Summoning this card in Defense Position, this makes it an easy target for cards that take advantage of monsters they destroy by battle, such as "Elemental HERO Flame Wingman", "Truckroid", "KA-2 Des Scissors", "Needle Burrower", "Darkblaze Dragon", "Shinato, King of a Higher Plane", "Guardian Angel Joan", "Greed Quasar", "Brain Crusher", a monster equipped with "Armory Arm", etc.
- The same applies for monsters that inflict piercing battle damage.
- You can also equip this card with "Nitro Unit" to do extra damage.
- Combo this card with "Inferno Tempest", by attacking this Attack Position card with a Grinder Token. If "Necroface" is in your Deck at the time, you can potentially Deck-out your opponent, or bring them very close to it.
- Use the same strategy of attacking this card with a Grinder Token, except with 3 "Volcanic Counters" and another FIRE monster in your Graveyard. This will inflict 9000 damage to your opponent by the effects of the "Volcanic Counters", while you take 3000 battle damage.
- Combo with "Earthbound Immortal Cusillu", by attacking this card with that monster. When "Cusillu" would be destroyed by battle, Tribute a Grinder Token instead, halving your opponent's Life Points as a result.
- Combo with "Earthbound Immortal Uru", by Tributing 1 of the Grinder Tokens to temporarily take control of this card for 2 3000 ATK monsters.
- Use this card in a Gradius Deck. Summoning this card in Defense Position will trigger the effects of card such as "Victory Viper XX03" or "Lord British Space Fighter", if they destroy it by battle. By Summoning this card in Attack Position with an "Honest" in hand, you can easily inflict a lot of damage with one of the Level 4 LIGHT Gradius-themed monsters, since some are capable of attacking twice or Summoning a Token with the same ATK as itself.
- This card can be Special Summoned via the effect of "Archfiend Empress".
- This card easily fulfills the Special Summoning requirements of "Schwarzschild Limit Dragon".
Traditional Format
- This card can be searched by "Witch of the Black Forest".
- Special Summon this card to your opponent's side of the field and tribute a token for "Metamorphosis", "Black Illusion Ritual" or "Contract with the Abyss" to summon "Relinquished" or "Thousand-Eyes Restrict" and steal back your "Grinder Golem" for a 3000 ATK beatstick.
