• This card can be searched by "Dogu", "Single Purchase", "Painful Escape", "Magical Contract Door", "A Deal with Dark Ruler", "Goblin Zombie" and "Chaos Zone".

• You can equip "Berserk Dragon" with "Fairy Meteor Crush","Armory Arm" or "Big Bang Shot" to inflict damage when attacking Defense Position Monsters.

• You can bring this card to your hand from your Graveyard with "Recurring Nightmare".

• When this card's attack points are low due to its effect, you can Tribute it for another monster(or some card effects such as "Dark Spirit Art - Greed") then spring another "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to summon a fresh "Berserk Dragon".

• You can use "A Deal with Dark Ruler" after using "Darklord Zerato's" field clearing effect to summon this card.

• Use "Reverse Trap" to raise its ATK for a turn.
  • This can be a good counter to "D.D. Warrior Lady", as many would simply want to banish "Berserk Dragon" (to prevent a second one from appearing with the combo above). When "Berserk Dragon" is low on ATK, this can be quite a rude awakening, as suddenly "Berserk Dragon"'s ATK skyrockets and (since a replay does not occur) your opponent can do nothing but watch.

• Use "Skill Drain" or ""Forbidden Chalice" to negate the ATK loss.

• This card can be useful in any deck with a high number of Level 8 or higher monsters such as "Malefic", "Gimmick Puppet" or those that use Rank 8 or 10 Xyz Monsters.

• As soon as possible, tribute this card for "Great Maju Garzett", and, if possible, you can use another "A Deal with Dark Ruler".

• A clever, but difficult trick is to chain "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to the negating effect of "Stardust Dragon" or "Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode", not only do you negate a card, you get a 3500 attacker on the field as well.
• Alternatively, you can use your own Stardust Dragon's effect and activate 1 " A Deal With Dark Ruler" to Special Summon this card from your hand.

• When this card's ATK is low enough due to its effect, you can Tribute it for "Deck Devastation Virus" or "Eradicator Epidemic Virus".

• Tribute a Level 8 monster and another one to Normal Summon "The Creator", then activate "A Deal with Dark Ruler" to Special Summon "Berserk Dragon", then activate the effect of "The Creator" to get the Level 8 monster back for a possible OTK.

• If this card has become too weak, tribute it for "Advance Draw".

• Use "Ojama Trio" to put 3 Tokens on your opponent side Field, after this use "Zero Gravity" to change them to ATK Position, so use this card to Attack ALL Tokens and make an OTK.

• This card can be used in an Archfiend Deck: you can search "A Deal with Dark Ruler" with "Archfiend Heiress" and activate it when your "Archfiend Emperor, the First Lord of Horror" is destroyed with its own effect.

• Use "Ghost of a Grudge" to maximize the damage inflicted by this card.
  • An OTK is possible if you do this the turn this card is Summoned and your opponent controls at least 3 monsters.

• When this card's ATK is low enough due to its effect, you can Tribute it for "Crush Card Virus".
• You can keep this card at 3500 ATK consistently if you can keep "Alector, Sovereign of Birds" on the field, use its power to negate this card's effect during your Main Phase 2 so its unable to trigger during the End Phase. Then it will still have full power at the start of each of your turns.
