• This can be activated after "Darklord Zerato" is destroyed from using its field clearing effect.
• This card can also be activated after Winged Kuriboh LV10 tributes itself and destroys all your opponent's monsters, inflicting massive damage to them and leaving them wide open for attack.
• You can Normal Summon a Level 8 monster by paying 2000 Life Points when Mausoleum of the Emperor is on the field. Then simply surrender that monster to your opponent's Lightning Vortex (or destroy the monster yourself) in order to activate this card.
  • You can even Summon an Earthbound Immortal monster, then use a Spell destruction card like "Mystical Space Typhoon" to activate this card.
• Use this card with Stardust Dragon, Stardust Dragon/Assault Mode or Majestic Star Dragon: negate one of your opponent's card effects and then get Berserk Dragon on the field.
• Summon Lava Golem to your opponent's field, then follow up by summoning Relinquished and take it as a Spell Card. Attack with Relinquished for 3000, then Mystical Space Typhoon your Lava Golem, followed by A Deal with Dark Ruler to summon Berserk Dragon for 3500. (Though not necessarily on the same turn.)
• When you opponent activates Lightning Vortex, use Call of the Haunted to bring back a Level 8+ monster, then activate this card to summon Berserk Dragon.
