- This card was banned since it almost resets the game except for Life Points and banished cards.
- It is the only card in the game that can essentially "reset" the Duel.
- This is one of three cards in the game that used the word "unite" in their card texts. The others were "Penguin Knight" and "Monster Recovery".
- This is the first Forbidden Plant-Type monster. It was followed by "Glow-Up Bulb" and "Spore" in the March 2012 banlist.
- This monster bears an uncanny resemblance to the heavily vegetated ancient ruins of 'Laputa' from the Studio Ghibli movie Castle in the Sky. In the movie, Laputa had the general appearance of a giant floating tree, especially at the end of the movie. At the bottom of the ruins was a large, round laser cannon similar to the one that is visible at the bottom of this monster. (And in fact, some of the Yu-Gi-Oh! video games for the Nintendo DS even actually show "Fiber Jar" to fire a laser when it attacks.)
