  • Combo this card with "DNA Transplant" to always be able to use its effect.
  • Use this card with "Jar of Greed" after running out of cards, so you won't be completely handless
  • This card can easily be Synchro Summoned in a "Nordic"-based deck, especially if you use the effect of "Mara of the Nordic Alfar".
  • In a general Deck that can perform Synchro Summons, Side Deck this card until you learn of the pattern of your opponent's Deck and make sure if it can be used or not.
  • Those who run this card may prefer using the second effect, rather than the third, as a frontal assault may be more effective than the effect damage this card can inflict, and Spell and Card removal can also be vital in winning.
    • However, if your opponent has no cards on the field, while you have only one card in your hand, it is worth using the third effect, as you can see all the cards your opponent holds and hope to inflict more damage that way.
  • One of the easiest ways to Synchro Summon this card is to Special Summon "Cyber Dragon", then Normal Summon "Junk Synchron" and activate its effect to Special Summon a Level 2 monster in the Graveyard.
  • This card can, very easily, be Synchro Summoned in a Zombie Deck: Special Summon 1 Level 4 Zombie-Type monster from your Graveyard through the effect of "Zombie Master", by discarding "Plaguespreader Zombie". Then, Special Summon "Plaguespreader Zombie" from your Graveyard (via its own effect, or others like "Mezuki" or "Book of Life"). Finally, use the 3 Zombies to Synchro Summon this card.
  • Use this card's 3rd effect when you have few cards in hand to make your opponent send the "Honest" in their hand to the Graveyard, allowing you to deal a safe attack and extra damage too.
  • "Lightsworns" and many other Decks based on LIGHT attribute monsters play the Trap Card "Beckoning Light". Use this card's 1st or 2nd effect to avoid your opponent using "Beckoning Light" to retrieve copies of "Judgment Dragon" or "Honest". While your opponent can chain their Trap Card to your effect, doing so would enable massive damage through the 3rd effect of this card.
  • You can summon this quite easily in a deck of Gemini monsters. Simply use the effect of "Gemini Soldier" to summon a "Tuned Magician" and Gemini Summon "Tuned Magician" to tune the two monsters with another Level 4 monster. You can do this even more easily if your monster attacks "Gemini Soldier" and triggers its effect again when you lack the second level 4 monster.
  • In an "Infernity" deck, this card can send all your cards to the graveyard to achieve your handless combo.
  • Synchro Summon a Level 5 Synchro Monster using "Plaguespreader Zombie" and "Beast of the Pharaoh" as the materials. Then, use the effect of "Beast of the Pharaoh" to bring itself back and Special Summon "Plaguespreader Zombie" with its own effect. You will now have the materials to Synchro Summon this card.
  • Another easy way to summon this card is to Special Summon "The Tricky" using its effect by discarding "Quillbolt Hedgehog". After that, Normal Summon a Level 3 Tuner monster Special Summon "Quillbolt Hedgehog" by its own effect; then, Synchro Summon this card.
  • This card works well in a Chaos "Agent" Deck.
  • In a Trap Monster-reliant deck, you can Special Summon "Shapesister" then Summon 2 Level 4 Trap Monsters, like "Tiki Curse" and "Embodiment of Apophis", and Synchro Summon this card. Later, if you already controls "Uria, Lord of Searing Flames", you can use the third effect of this card to probably inflict a huge damage to your opponent and moreover increase the ATK of "Uria", assuming that the discarded cards were Continuous Trap Cards.
    • If somehow the effect damage + the attack of both this card and "Uria" doesn't be sufficient to win the game, use them to Xyz Summon "Superdreadnought Rail Cannon Gustav Max" to inflict more 2000 damage.


Traditional Format

  • This card works very well with "Morphing Jar" : After you use either the 2nd or th 3rd effect of this card, and running out of cards in hand, you can use the "Morphing Jar" to refill your hand and discard your opponent's handIf the opponent has a card that you didin't manage to discard via the effect of the first, and, depending on the opponent's type of deck, you can during your next turn, re-use this card effect
