I've been playing Yugioh for a long time, but I only recently started going to tournaments. This deck would dominate my friends but I've had little success with it in the competitive environment. My biggest problem so far is that I often draw spells, traps, and high level monsters. Mallet and Card trader are supposed to combat this but I don't draw them very often. I'm considering a second Mallet. My friend thinks it is simply bad shuffling on my part (shuffling with sleeves is difficult for me).

My other problem is that my dragons are very susceptible to Bottomless Trap Hole. Royal Decree, in addition to pairing nicely with Horus, helps to combat this. One common suggestion I get is to add a Jinzo to my deck. My issue with is that he requires a tribute and I already end up stuck with monsters I can't summon.

Also when I am able to play the Horus/Decree combo out it doesn't seem to last long. My opponents always seem to have a monster with an effect that can destroy Horus. I can't activate Divine Wrath because of Royal Decree.

Tips? Advice?

- 2 Twin headed behemoth

- 1 Element Dragon

+ 3 Mirage Dragon

I don't have much experience with level decks, but one idea would be to get rid of the lower level LV dragon, Armed Dragon LV3 and Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV4, and then use monsters that can survive or special summon themselves to be used as tributes for Horus the Black Flame Dragon LV6 and Armed Dragon LV5. Common ones that special summon are Cyber Dragon, Level Warrior, Vice Dragon, Level Eater, and Treeborn Frog. Good stallers/survivors would be Dark Resonator, Spirit Reaper, and Marshmallon. Drop a copy of twin head because when you use one of the dragon's effect to revive it locks the effect of all your twin heads for the rest of the duel. Cyber dark cards such as Cyberdark Edge can be useful because you can summmon them and equip masked dragons/twin heads from your graveyard to get a strong monster.

For spells, I would add another copy of Pot of Avarice to recycle masked dragons and for draw power.

For traps, if you want to keep Royal Decree's for a horus lock, you should add in 2 more copies and dump most of your other traps keeping only the necessities like Torrential Tribute and maybe Burst Breath. If you don't want to go that route then I would dump Ceasefire because it doesn't go well with the theme of your deck and replace Negate Attack with Threatening Roars. Replace Cursed Seal of the Forbidden Spell with Solemn Judgment or Dark Bribe because Cursed seal requires you to discard a spell card and you already have hand trouble.

These are just some ideas and I'm sorry for the giant block of text. 71.198.110.88 22:20, February 14, 2010 (UTC)
