  • Use this card's effect to flip down your "Wind-Up" monsters and reuse their effects.
  • You can also use this to flip already used flip effect monsters like "Needle Worm" or "Morphing Jar" back into face down position only to have their effects go off again.
  • This card can easily be summoned using "Batteryman AAA" while you have another copy of it in the Graveyard.
    • In a "Batteryman" themed deck, you can use its effect on "Batteryman Micro-Cell" to special summon another "Batteryman". This is especially effective if you already summoned a "Batteryman AA," so you can summon a second to increase both monsters' attack power.
  • This card is useful in a Spirit deck: flipping a Spirit Monster face-down will prevent it from returning to your hand, even it being flipped face-up again during the End Phase.
  • This card can be particularly useful in a "Gravekeeper's" deck because its effect can reuse the effect of "Gravekeeper's Spy".
    • Flip Summon "Gravekeeper's Spy" and Special Summon a level 4 "Gravekeeper's" with the effect of "Gravekeeper's Spy". Then, Normal Summon another level 4 monster and Xyz Summon this card. Then use the effect of this card to flip "Gravekeeper's Spy" down and have its effect activate again during the End Phase.
    • The above tip accomplishes deck-thinning but yields no actual card advantage. If you use "Mind Control" to use an opponent's level 4 monster in summoning this card, you can generate a -1 for your opponent in addition to re-using "Gravekeeper's Spy".
    • You can also use this to re-use the effect of "Gravekeeper's Guard" and return a total of two monsters to the opponent's hand.
  • In a "Lightsworn" Deck, you can use "Wulf, Lightsworn Beast" to summon this card without losing initial card advantage. You can also use it to flip "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter" face down, after having flip summoned it, for another free destruction, and mill for 3. Another possible combo for "Lightsworn" decks is to use the effect of 2 "Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress" and Summon this card out to flip "Ryko, Lightsworn Hunter" face down and gain even more advantage from destroying 2 spell/trap cards as well.
  • This card is perfect for a Reptile-Type "Worm" deck. It can be summoned with ease, with the help of "Worm Xex" and "Worm Yagan", and its effect can be used to flip cards like "Worm Apocalypse" and "Worm Cartaros" face down, allowing you to use their effects again. And as an added bonus, after becoming overlay, "Worm Yagan" won't be banished when it leaves the field after being Summoned by its own effect.
  • This card can easily be summoned by the effect of "Summoner Monk".
  • This card has an incredible synchronization with "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" because of it's effect to Special Summon another "Nordic Beast" monster from your deck when changed from Defense Position to attack position. Potentially, with another level 4 in your hand and a defensive position "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" you can Special Summon "Guldfaxe of the Nordic Beasts" Normal Summon your level 4 monster, use them for an Xyz Summon for this card and flip "Tanngnjostr of the Nordic Beasts" face-down and further Special Summon another "Nordic Beast" during your End Phase.
  • Use this effect to suspend the effect of one of your Effect Monsters for one turn, such as "Jinzo" or "Aurora Paragon".
  • In a "Evol" deck you can detach a "Evolsaur" to set "Evoltile Westlo" during your End Phase flip "Westlo" and activate its effect to Special Summon "Evolsaur Vulcano" and activate "Vulcano" effect to Special Summon the Detached "Evolsaur".
