  • As several Rank 4 monsters are frequently used in players' Decks, this card can be used late in the game to Summon a Rank 5 "Number C" monster fairly easily, no matter how many materials it would normally require. If many monsters were used as Xyz Material, you can then equip "Stoic Challenge" for a massive power and damage boost, possibly enough to end the game.
    • Summon "Number C101: Silent Honor DARK" and use its effect to attach another monster before equipping "Stoic" to gain even more ATK. Keep in mind that "Stoic Challenge" only doubles battle damage if another monster is battled, so leaving an Attack Position monster on the field may yield more damage then a direct attack.
    • "Number C69: Heraldry Crest of Horror" is an option with more base ATK, but lacks a monster removal effect.
    • After Summoning any Rank 5 "Number C10X" monster, Xyz Summon "CXyz Barian" on top of that, as it gains even more ATK for each Xyz Material attached to it.
  • Aside from using staple Rank 4's to Summon Rank 5 monsters, this card can also be used as a counter to opponents who use Xyz Monsters of the same Rank as you do.
  • Be careful when choosing a monster to Summon using this card; unlike other "Rank-Up-Magic" cards, this card doesn't treat the monster Summoned by Rank-Up as being Xyz Summoned. This means that if you summon "Silent Honor DARK" you won't be able to use its revival effect due to it not being properly Special Summoned. Other monsters with similar revival strategies share this problem.
