  • In episode 11, Joey Wheeler used this card during his Duel against Rex Raptor. After he summons this card, it gained a Field Power Bonus from the meadow area. Joey then used this card to attack and destroy Rex's "Two-Headed King Rex". Rex's "Sword Arm of Dragon" (who gained a Field Power Bonus from the wasteland area) then attacks and destroys this card.
  • In episode 16, Joey uses this card during his Duel against Seto Kaiba. After this card was summoned, "Rabid Horseman" attacks and destroys this card.
    • This card is also shown in a flashback Ryo Bakura has when he makes note of his Millennium Ring pointing at the castle as something similar when he first started attending Yugi Muto's school. Joey is shown using this card in his duel against Yugi. What happens next is unknown as the flashback then shifted to Bakura who then noticed that his Millennium Ring is pointing to Yugi's Millennium Puzzle.
    • This card can also be seen in Seto Kaiba's briefcase when he takes out a Duel Disk from his briefcase and tosses it to Joey.
  • Joey later uses this card during his Duel against Bonz. Joey summoned this monster on the second turn of the duel. Joey would then use this monster to destroy Bonz's "Zanki". On Joey's next turn, he would use it to destroy Bonz's set "Crawling Dragon". It was later destroyed by Bonz's "Dragon Zombie" ("Crawling Dragon" brought back by "Call of the Haunted").
  • Joey used this card again in his tag duel with Yami Yugi against Para and Dox. He did not move it at all through the maze to in order keep it safe from "Wall Shadow". When "Wall Shadow" attacks Yugi's "Celtic Guardian", Joey activates "Kunai with Chain" to negate the attack, equip this card with "Kunai with Chain" and increase both this card and "Celtic Guardian's" ATK by 500. "Celtic Guardian" then destroys "Wall Shadow". At the End Phase, the ATK of "Celtic Guardian" decreases to its original value. Joey then moved this card four spaces into the maze along with his "Flame Swordsman". When Para cuts off both Yugi and Joey's monsters from each other with "Magical Labyrinth", Joey moved this card and "Flame Swordsman" ahead through the maze to get out, but this card then stepped on the spot where Dox placed his "Jirai Gumo" on. This caused "Jirai Gumo" to pop out and attack this card. Due to "Jirai Gumo's" effect, this card's ATK became its original ATK, allowing "Jirai Gumo" to destroy this card.
  • In episode 26, this card can be seen in Kaiba's briefcase when he takes a Duel Disk from his briefcase and tosses it to Pegasus.
  • Joey uses this card in his duel against Bandit Keith. It was originally set in Defense Position, but Keith later switched it into Attack Position with "Stop Defense". He then tried to win the duel by attacking this card with "Metalzoa", but Joey activates "Chasm of Spikes" to destroy "Metalzoa" and inflict damage to Keith equal to 1/4 of his "Metalzoa"'s ATK. Joey then switchs this card back into Defense Position. This card was later destroyed by Keith's "Barrel Dragon" along with "Garoozis".
  • Joey later uses this monster in the Legendary Heroes arc. Joey equips this monster with "Kunai with Chain" and has it destroy "Armed Ninja" who had captured Mokuba disguised as Princess Edina. This causes the net "Armed Ninja" was holding to drop, but a "Whiptail Crow" catches the net and takes Mokuba away.
  • In episode 46, this card is shown on some TV monitors that were showing the Duels that occurred in Duelist Kingdom.
  • In episode 82, this card appears in a flashback Joey has when Bakura reveals what kind of Deck he uses and Joeys asks if it's similar to Bonz's Deck.
  • In episode 109, this card appears in a flashback Leichter has when he explains to Seto that his treachery began when Gozaburo gave him a large amount of dollars to test Seto's business skills.
  • When the gang get surrounded by Gozaburo's chess monster army, Joey summons this card to fend off the monsters. This card and Joey then joins Yugi and the latter's "Curse of Dragon" in destroying the army. It is not shown again while Yugi and his friends try to hide from the creatures, but it was most likely destroyed by either one of the two "Skull Knights" or "Cosmo Queen". When the monster army finds them again, Joey summons this card again and uses it to destroy "Command Knight".
  • Joey uses this card during the Battle Royal duel between himself, Yugi, Kaiba, and Yami Marik. After Joey summons this card, he uses this card to attack Kaiba's "Blade Knight", but Kaiba activates "Ring of Destruction" to destroy this card and inflict its ATK as damage to both him and Joey. Kaiba then activates "Ring of Defense" to protect himself from the damage inflicted by "Ring of Destruction"'s effect. Joey then activates "Graverobber" to take Yami Marik's "Spell of Pain" from the Graveyard and activate its effect, which makes Yami Marik take the damage Joey would have received from "Ring of Destruction's" effect, causing Yami Marik to be defeated.
  • Joey uses this card in a Dream Duel against an unknown opponent while he was in a coma and he was dreaming that he was Dueling in a state championship. Joey has this card attack and destroy his opponent's "Petit Dragon", winning him the Duel.
  • Its attack name in the Japanese version is Axe Crash.
