- Notable monster you can Special Summon "Book of Life" include "King of the Skull Servants", "Vampire Lord", "Spirit Reaper", "Zombie Master", "Ryu Kokki" and "Il Blud".
- Notable monster you can remove from play with "Book of Life" include "Destiny Hero - Malicious", "Necro Gardna, "Treeborn Frog", "Plaguespreader Zombie", "Fire King High Avatar Garunix", "Sacred Phoenix of Nephthys", "Stardust Dragon" and "Grapha, Dragon Lord of Dark World" . If your playing in the Traditional Format "Destiny Hero - Disk Commander", would also be a good monster to Remove.
- You can trick your opponent by attacking them with "Vampire Lady" or "Vampire Lord" and using their effect to force them to discard a Monster from their deck. Most decks contain at least one Monster that is useful in the Graveyard. Then use "Book of Life" to remove that monster from play while gaining one additional monster.
- "Zombie World" turns all monsters in your Graveyard into Zombie-Type monsters, allowing you to use "Book of Life" to Special Summon monsters whose original Type isn't Zombie.
- Use "Card Destruction" to send one of your zombies and an opponents monster to the graveyard at the same time to prepare the activation of this card.
