- In all Non-Japanese Version of the Exodia Cards the Spellbinding Circle can be seen behind him. In the Japanese Version there is a picture of a pentagram star.
- Exodia and his limbs do not align properly when all 5 cards are physically placed together.
- This card's Japanese name translates roughly to "Sealed Exodia".
- This card is featured on the artwork of the following cards:
- The Bandai version of this card is Level 8, the Konami version is Level 3.
- This card is the first ever card released to permit an Automatic Win.
- This card, along with its limbs, have kept the same status on the Forbidden & Limited Lists longer than any other card in the game. They have all been Limited since the lists were started.
- This card was one of the first 5 cards ever released to have a Card effect in it. The other 4 were Armed Ninja, Man-Eater Bug, Hane-Hane, and Reaper of the Cards. Out of all five this is the only one that doesn't have a Flip Effect.
- This card has three counterparts: Exodia Necross, Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord, and Exxod, Master of The Guard.
- This card is one of the extremely few cards that can produce a potential No Turn Kill. Other cards include Makyura the Destructor and the second effect of Gorz the Emissary of Darkness.
- This is the first card set that can only be used to it's full effect if a set of cards is gathered in a player's hand.
