- This card did not appear to have an effect in the anime. It was mistakenly shown as a LIGHT-attribute monster in the dub.
- In episode 113, Joey Wheeler uses this card during his Tag Duel with Yami Yugi against the Big Five. He Special Summons this card via "Knight's Title". Joey then activates his "Flame Swordsman's" Deck Master ability to decrease its ATK by 700 and increase this card's ATK by the same amount. This card then attacks and destroys "Berserk Dragon". Since "Berserk Dragon" was the Big Five's Deck Master, Yami Yugi and Joey won the Duel by default.
- The attack name of this card was called Sword of Dark Magic Attack in the dub and Rune Sword in the original.
- In the original, before this card attacked, Dark Magician Knight chanted some kind of spell in an unidentified idiom. It doesn't not seem to be Japanese. It might be some ancient Nordic idiom, even, given the runes which show up on the sword.
