Yu-Gi-Oh!

  • This card was first played by Rex Raptor in his duel against Joey Wheeler in the Waking the Dragons arc. Treating this card's summon as a Special Summon, Rex summoned two of them on his first turn. This allows him to Normal Summon "Kaitoptera". In the dub, Rex implied that "Gilasaurus" is automatically Summoned from his hand. One of them was later fused with "Kaitoptera" to summon "Horned Saurus". When this card attacked Joey directly, he activated "Scapegoat", causing this card to destroy one "Sheep Token" instead. Next turn this card and "Giant Rex" destroyed two Sheep Tokens while "Horned Saurus" destroyed "Rocket Warrior". Later Rex tributes this card and "Giant Rex" to summon "Tyrant Dragon".

Yu-Gi-Oh! GX

  • This card also appears in episode 16, in Brier’s hand.
  • Tyranno Hassleberry has this card in his own Dinosaur deck; although he has played this card on multiple occasions, he first used it in his first duel against Jaden Yuki. It was Special Summoned via its own effect. Hassleberry then Tributes this card in order to summon "Dark Driceratops".
  • Hassleberry also used it in his tag duel with Syrus Truesdale against Frost and Thunder. It is summoned via its own effect. It is then Tributed to summon "Dark Driceratops".
  • Hassleberry later used this card in his duel with Jim Crocodile Cook. He Special Summons this card via its effect. He then Tributes this card to summon "Dark Driceratops". Jim later uses "Fossil Fusion" to banish this card and "Flint Cragger" from his own Graveyard to Fusion Summon "Fossil Dragon Skullgar".
  • When Jaden's friends tried to ward off the Duel Ghouls that were trying to stop him from getting to the Duel Ghouls, Hassleberry is shown Tributing this card and "Black Stego" to summon "Dark Tyranno".
  • Hassleberry later used this card in his duel against Taigo Sorano.
  • In the English version of the duel against Jim Crocodile Cook, this card is shown as a Normal Monster, but it still had its effect.
