Card Tips:Ring of Destruction
- With the new "Ring of Destruction" errata, the damages are not inflicted simultaneously. First, you take damage, then your opponent takes Damage. Therefore, it is now impossible to use Ring of Destruction to force a DRAW, as per a new rule found at the Yu-Gi-Oh Blog[1], if your life points hits 0 during a chain, the duel ends immediately.
- Due to its new wordings, your opponent will not take any damage if your take no damage at the first place.
- By chaining "Barrel Behind the Door" to "Ring of Destruction", your opponent will take the damage and you will take none. An OTK is possible if that monster's ATK is the same as your opponent's LP.
- Use "Ring of Destruction" with "Trap of Board Eraser" to prevent damage to your Life Points and make your opponent discard a card.
- You can chain "Ring of Defense" to "Ring of Destruction" in order to stop both players from taking the effect damage from "Ring of Destruction".
- With "Des Wombat" on your side of the field, use "Ring of Destruction" on an opponent's monster. "Des Wombat" will prevent "Ring of Destruction" from damaging your Life Points and you might gain field advantage.
- You can chain "Rainbow Life" to "Ring of Destruction" to gain the Life Points you would have taken as damage.
- "Prime Material Dragon" will increase your Life Points instead.
- If you have a "Yubel" on the field, you can use "Ring of Destruction" on it to Special Summon "Yubel - Terror Incarnate", although neither you nor your opponent will take any damage as "Yubel" has 0 ATK, unless it is equipped with "Unstable Evolution", in which case it will inflict either 1000 or 2400 points of damage to both you and your opponent, depending on how many Life Points you have.
- If you have "Black-Winged Dragon" on the field you can gain a counter and destroy one monster on the field.
