Ebon Magician Curran appears as a Duel Monster Spirit. By defeating her in duels a few times, she can be unlocked for use by the player. She can be found at the east side of Duel Academy.

As the player's partner, Ebon Magician Curran increases the likelihood of obtaining a card after winning a duel against another duelist. The likelihood increases as the spirit is levelled up.

World Championship 2007

Ebon Magician Curran appears as a Level 4 Limited Duelist, challenging the player to defeat her in a duel during which neither player can attack.

World Championship 2008

Ebon Magician Curran appears in the Grace Duel World to duel the player one time after the player gives White Magician Pikeru a card. Pikeru must be given another card in order for Curran to appear again, and Curran will not appear while Pikeru is in Grace.

Defeating Curran 5 times unlocks Dark Magician Girl as an opponent in World Championship Mode.

World Championship 2009

Ebon Magician Curran appears as a Tag Duel opponent in World Championship Mode, partnering with White Magician Pikeru. They are unlocked by defeating Graton and Angie in Tag Duels 5 times.
