"This initial page is just a place holder while more revisions take place"
It isn't necessary to create placeholders like this; it's fine to wait until you've written a more substantive article before actually creating it. 「ディノ奴千?!」☎ Dinoguy1000 18:55, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- Is there a way I can save drafts while writing until a substantive article is written? --Arcadia artrix (talk • contribs) 19:00, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
- There's a couple options: you can use a text file on your computer (assuming you use a computer and not a mobile device), or save it as a draft in your userspace (e.g. to User:Arcadia artrix/sandbox) and then request the page be moved to mainspace when it's ready (by putting a {{Rename}} tag on it, or just dropping a note on my talk page or the talk page of another active mover). If it won't take you that long to get the page to a saveable state, you can also just work under the final page title and hold off on saving until you feel it's ready. 「ディノ奴千?!」☎ Dinoguy1000 19:13, 4 April 2024 (UTC)
