How does LaDD interact with Counter Traps? My guess is that it won't, due to Spell Speeds, but how does this work? Sabre Knight 21:30, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

Can you choose to activate LaDD's effect?

Do you get to pick when you can activate its effect says "When a spell or trap card is activated, or the the effect of an effect monster is activate, that activation is negated and the card loses 500 ATK and DEF." So im kinda confused on if you can choose to activate it becase it didnt say you can negate the activation it said negate the activation. So if some one could get back to me on that I would be very happy and alot less confused.

  • In this case, you HAVE to negate it and LaDD loses 500 ATK and DEF. If it said, "you can", you would have a choice, but here, you do not have a choice and you must activate the effect. LaDD and Exodius

If I Send All 5 Pieces Of Exodia to The Graveyard usind Exodius The Ultimate Fobidden Lord's Effect, while an oppenets LaDD is On the Field, Does it Negate The Auto Win? Or Does The Person With Exodius Still Win? Professor X 00:35, 6 August 2009 (UTC)

Note that sending the cards from the Deck to the Graveyard is a Trigger Effect of "Exodius the Ultimate Forbidden Lord", so "Light and Darkness Dragon" can negate that. But, the actual win condition cannot be negated.

"Light and Darkness Dragon" vs. "Skill Drain"

No. "Skill Drain" only negates the effects of monsters that are face-up on the field. When you start trying to Special Summon "Light and Darkness Dragon", "Light and Darkness Dragon" is not on the field, so "Skill Drain" cannot negate its effects.
Moreover, the restriction on Special Summons is not treated as an effect - it is a condition, so nothing can negate it.
