  • It is usually a good idea to put this card in the Side Deck instead of in the main deck. If you are against the wrong deck, this card is pretty much worthless. If you know you are using a Deck which can be shut down by specific Countinuous Traps, you might want to side this card in during the second duel even if your opponent does not have any in their deck, as they might side in said counter cards.
  • Use this card in a "Skill Drain" Deck. You can get rid of your opponent's "Royal Decree" and use this card to Synchro Summon "Stardust Dragon". Since Stardust Dragon is in the graveyard when its effect resolves, its effect will not be negated so you can prevent your Skill Drain from being destroyed by your opponent.
  • You can get rid of your opponent's annoying "Gravity Bind" with this card.
  • This card works amazing in a Gladiator Beast deck, since "Royal Oppression" shuts down Gladiator Beasts tagging in ability.
  • This card works extremely well with "Dark Necrofear" because:
1) It gets rid of one of your opponent's "continious trap" card giving you a free summon. This summon can then attack your opponent's LP or defend your LP until it gets destroyed and sent to the graveyard, where it can be used to summon "Dark Necrofear".
2) If your opponent does not provide a "continous trap" card for you to summon "Trap Eater", you can still use it as a "discard" cost and then summon "Dark Necrofear" with it.
