The truth about Arcadia Movement

Yusei and Akiza watched a video shown by Mina about the terrible experiments Arcadia Movement has put the abducted children through. It was retrieved from the half-destroyed headquarters of Arcadia Movement. The organization has tried to force the children to become psychic duelists. Akiza remembered her encounter with Misty Lola and wonders if Misty’s brother was one of the abducted children as well. Yusei saw that Akiza is worried about something. Mina said that this evidence against the organization will be supporting and powerful. She also said that Divine has abducted these children in order to change them into soldiers on war-torn regions. By seeing her name on the list, Akiza was shocked and went out of the room. Yusei decide to follow her, leaving Mina alone. Akiza sit at a table, thinking about the revelation of the organization she thought she knew well. Yusei found her and Akiza says to him that she glad, nonetheless, that Divine has accepted her, even if he tried to use her powers and that his existence was invaluable to her. Yusei says to her that he understand and he’s not going to reject her. He also said that there are people that will trust her and who need her now. Akiza is touched by Yusei’s word. He show to her his Mark of the Dragon and says there are friends.

Goodwin’s Invitation

At New Domino City, a limousine sends the Signers, Mina and Leo to Rex Goodwin’s mansion, in which the leader of Yliaster was been waiting for them. Despite his mistrust for Goodwin and for what he has done to his friends, Yusei is determine to learn the truth from him concerning about the Dark Signers. Goodwin nearly didn’t let Leo inside his mansion because Leo wasn’t a Signer, but Luna convince him to let him in, saying she won’t go anywhere without her brother. Goodwin invites the Signers and Leo to follow him inside.

They follow him through an ancient corridor underneath his mansion, in which Goodwin tells them that Jack has been led there before. They arrive at an ancient door which open and close automatically. Behind those doors was an ancient temple which is surrounding by the symbol of the Crimson Dragon. Goodwin says that symbol has been passed down as the legend of the People of the Stars. The Signers’ mark glowed as well as the symbol surrounding the temple, Then, the Crimson Dragon appeared.

History of the Signers

While seeing the dragon, Yusei remembered his first encounter with the dragon while doing his revenge duel match against Jack on New Domino City. Rex tells them that they were guided by the dragon and arrived in New Domino City. Yusei thought Goodwin set it up their meeting and Jack says that they were settling the score between him and Yusei and that the Crimson Dragon had nothing to do with it. Rex reply that in itself is the fate derived by the power of the Crimson Dragon and that he himself did nothing than conduct his actions according to the dragon’s guidance. Yusei ask him if he expect them to believe his story and Goodwin reply that it is up to them to whether or not they believe his story and that as long as they are Signers, they cannot escape from their fate. While seeing her mark, Akiza remembers when her powers first manisfested during her duel against her father and what she been throught witrh her powers during her life.

Rex says that without that power, they would have never met and their birthmark is bestowed only to duelists chosen by the Crimson Dragon. He also says that the fate of the Signers joined each and everyone of their fate and guides them all, including Luna. While watching her mark, Luna remembers her first incursion into the Duel Monsters Spirit World and her encounter with Kuribon and Ancient Fairy Dragon.

Goodwin says to them that they cannot avert their eyes from it, that they share the same birthmark and they are chosen as the reincarnation of the legendary Signers. He also said that whether they like it or not, it was promised thousands of years ago that they would all encounter as so, while at the mercy of destiny. Luna and Akiza are overwhelmed by this revelation. The Crimson Dragon howls and disapeared and the Signers’s mark ceased to glow.

Leo remembers that there’s one Signer missing and Luna ask where is the final Signer. Rex tells them that the last Signer has awakened long ago, which shocked everyone. He said that when the 4 Signers should ever found themselves in real trouble, that person shall most likely appeared along with the Crimson Dragon. Yusei ask him what did he mean by that and Goodwin reply Yusei will know before long. He raised his hand high, a light appeared and they found themselves changed of location. They were at the location where the Nazca Lines disapeared.

History of the Dark Signers

Rex explain to them that thousands of years ago, the Crimson Dragon descended forth to this land and sealed the Incarnates of Evil within the earth, in which they were reffered as the Nazca Lines. The truth of that has been the forbidden history that was only allowed to be handed down to Yliaster, until each of the Nazca Lines geoglyphs began to disapeared. Goodwin says that was the Dark Signers doing. He also says that they possess birthmarks similar to the Signers.

Yusei remembers his first duel against a Dark Signer and how the field they created and the way they dueled, including the Dark Synchro Monsters, nearly cost him his life. Rex says that if their dueling was based on the power of life, the Dark Signers’ dueling is based on the powers of the underworld and when a Dark Signer appears, a geoglyph will surely follow. He also says that their arrival has now put all of New Domino City in a life-or-death crisis. Yusei remembers his duel against Kyosuke Kiryu and how people in Satellite were sacrificed in order for Kiryu to bring out his Earthbound God. Those revelations scared Leo and Luna.

Goodwin says that their actions have already exceeded his calculations, that the geoglyphs have appeared on the city and caused many casualties. He also says that the phenomeon Yusei saw in Satellite also occured in New Domino City and because of the monsters that appeared from the geoglyphs, hundreds of people that were in their vicinity are currently unaccounted for. Those revelations shocked the Signers and Leo.

The Signers and Leo watch the events of the previous night and Yusei wonders if those two creatures were also Earthbound Gods. Rex says yes and that the Earthbound Gods are the Dark Signers’ Gods, who are summoned by sacrificing people. Jack asks him what became of the sacrificed people and Goodwin replies that he doesn't know. Jack thinks back to what happened at the Arcadia Movement when he found Carly’s glasses and hopes that nothing bad happened to her. Rex says that the situation requires immediate action and if they stand idly by, all the people of Satellite and New Domino City will fall into the clutches of the Dark Signers and the entire city will collapse, just like the vision the Signers had during the Fortune Cup. This information frightens even Luna and Leo, who are worried for the safety of Dexter, Yanagi Tenzen and Bolt Tanner

Rex says that battle was unavoidable from the start and that the Signers and the DArk Signers are like light and dark. The only people who can defeat the Dark Signers and save the world from destruction are the Signers. During Goodwin’s explanation, Akiza remembers more of her troubled past and how Yusei managed to save her from her sorrow. Jack says he doesn’t care about fate and that he decide for himself what he should do. Then Yusei remembers what Martha about letting his friends help him

The truth about the Dark Signers

Yusei tells Rex that he met his friend Kiryu, who he thought that he was dead, but learned that he has turned into a Dark Signer after his return to Satellite and explain to him his duel against Kiryu and how this duel nearly cost him his life.

He ask how Kiryu became a Dark Signer and Rex refuses to answer him. When Yusei says he’ll risk his life to save Satellite and New Domino City and bringing back Kiryu to his normal self, Goodwin says it will not be possible for the latter and there’s no way for the Dark Signers to return to their normal selves. Yusei ask what does he mean by that and Rex answer that the Dark Signers are the souls of the dead who have awakened to their abilities and they are no longer of this world. This news shocked everyone. Jack says it’s impossible for people to risen back from the dead. Goodwin says he does happen and even the Dark Synchro Monsters’s level becoming negative is proof that they are messengers of the underworld

He also says that destiny is in motion, that there’s no turning back now and the Signers must decide now if they want to defeat the Dark Signers or letting the world perishes, because time is running out for them. He leave the temple, letting the Signers make the most important decision of their lives for the future of the world.
