• In episode 37, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Dextra and Nistro. When "Hammer Bounzer" attacks directly, Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs and Nistro uses "Hammer Bounzer" to attack "Gagaga Gardna", but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction by discarding "Overlay Eater". "Blade Bounzer" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Nistro then activates the effect of "Blade Bounzer" to let it attack again. "Blade Bounzer" attacks this card again, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Nistro then activates the effect of "Blade Bounzer" to let it attack again. "Blade Bounzer" then attacks this card. In the next episode, Yuma revives "Tasuke Knight" via its own effect in order to end the Battle Phase. After Number 39: Utopia adds himself to Yuma's Deck, Yuma overlays this card and "Tasuke Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

When "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" attacks directly, Astral, using the remainder of his power, tries to remind Yuma (who had lost his memories of his father's teachings due to Trey's crest) about Kattobingu. This is enough for Yuma to look at his hand and remember his cards' effects. Yuma then Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs and Trey uses "Chronomaly Machu Mech" to attack and destroy this card.

• In episode 84, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. When "Black Ray Lancer" attacks directly via the effect of "Shark Fortress", Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs, and Shark uses "Black Ray Lancer" to attack this card, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Later Yuma overlays this card and "Ganbara Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Heroic Champion - Excalibur". When Yuma enters his Battle Phase, he detaches all Overlay Units from "Heroic Champion - Excalibur" in order to activate its effect.

• In episode 111, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Number 96. When "Chaos Number 69: Heraldry Crest of Horror" attacks directly, Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs, and Number 96 uses "Heraldry Crest of Horror" to attack this card, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction by discarding "Bacon Saver". "Chaos Number 96: Dark Storm" then attacks this card and Number 96 activates the effect of "Dark Storm" to reduce this card's ATK to 0 and increase the ATK of "Dark Storm" by the lost amount. Yuma then activates the effect of "Bacon Saver" from his Graveyard to prevent this card's destruction and reduce the battle damage he would take to 0. "Chaos Number 92: Heart-eartH Chaos Dragon" then attacks and destroys this card.

• In episode 129, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Alito. When "Chaos Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus" attacks directly, Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs, and "Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus" attacks this card instead. Alito explains that if "Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus" destroys a monster in battle and sends it to the Graveyard, that monster's ATK on the field will be inflicted to Yuma as damage. Yuma then activates the second effect of "Gagaga Gardna" to prevent its destruction by discarding "Dimensional U-Turn". Later, Yuma overlays this card with "Tasuke Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Heroic Champion - Excalibur". When Yuma enters his Battle Phase, he detaches all Overlay Units from "Heroic Champion - Excalibur" in order to activate its effect. Later Alito activates the effect of "Number 80: Rhapsody in Berserk" to banish all monsters from Yuma's Graveyard.

• In episode 141, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Nash. When "Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK" attacks directly, Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs, and "Silent Honor DARK" attacks and destroys this card.

Scripted Duels

• In the non-canon duel North American WCQ 2014 Special: Astral vs. Yugi, Astral Special Summons this card via its own effect in response to Yugi's "Dark Magician's" direct attack. A replay occurs and "Dark Magician" attacks this card. Astral activates this card's effect, discarding "Gagaga Girl" to prevent this card from being destroyed by battle. The next turn, Astral uses this card with "Gogogo Golem" as Xyz Material for the Xyz Summon of "Number 39: Utopia". Later, this card is sent to the Graveyard when "Utopia" is destroyed by the effect of Yugi's "Dark Magician Knight".
