• In episode 37, Yuma Tsukumo uses this card during his Duel against Dextra and Nistro. When "Hammer Bounzer" attacks directly, Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs and Nistro uses "Hammer Bounzer" to attack "Gagaga Gardna", but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction by discarding "Overlay Eater". "Blade Bounzer" then attacks this card, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Nistro then activates the effect of "Blade Bounzer" to let it attack again. "Blade Bounzer" attacks this card again, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Nistro then activates the effect of "Blade Bounzer" to let it attack again. "Blade Bounzer" then attacks this card. In the next episode, Yuma revives "Tasuke Knight" via its own effect in order to end the Battle Phase. After Number 39: Utopia adds himself to Yuma's Deck, Yuma overlays this card and "Tasuke Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Number 39: Utopia".

When "Number 33: Chronomaly Machu Mech" attacks directly, Astral, using the remainder of his power, tries to remind Yuma (who had lost his memories of his father's teachings due to Trey's crest) about Kattobingu. This is enough for Yuma to look at his hand and remember his cards' effects. Yuma then Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs and Trey uses "Chronomaly Machu Mech" to attack and destroy this card.

• In episode 84, Yuma uses this card during his Duel against Shark. When "Black Ray Lancer" attacks directly via the effect of "Shark Fortress", Yuma Special Summons this card via its own effect. A replay occurs, and Shark uses "Black Ray Lancer" to attack this card, but Yuma activates this card's second effect to prevent its destruction. Later Yuma overlays this card and "Ganbara Knight" in order to Xyz Summon "Heroic Champion - Excalibur". When Yuma enters his Battle Phase, he detaches all Overlay Units from "Heroic Champion - Excalibur" in order to activate its effect.

• In episode 111 Yuma Summons this card during his Duel with "Number 96". He Summons it via its effect to block a direct attack from "Number C69: Heraldry Crest of Horror". Yuma activates its other effect, preventing its destruction in battle by discarding a card ("Bacon Saver"). "Bacon Saver" would later be banished via its effect to protect this card. "Number C92: Heart-eartH Chaos Dragon" later destroys this card after it had been weakened earlier by the effects of "Number C96: Dark Storm".

• In episode 129 Yuma would Summon this card via its effects to block Alito's direct attack using "Number C105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus". When "Comet Cestus" attacks this card, Yuma activates its other effect, discarding one card ("Dimensional U-Turn") to prevent its destruction in battle. Later, Yuma uses this card with "Tasuke Knight" as Xyz Material for the Xyz Summon of "Heroic Champion - Excalibur".

Scripted Duels

• In the non-canon duel North American WCQ 2014 Special: Astral vs. Yugi, Astral Special Summons this card via its own effect in response to Yugi's "Dark Magician's" direct attack. A replay occurs and "Dark Magician" attacks this card. Astral activates this card's effect, discarding "Gagaga Girl" to prevent this card from being destroyed by battle. The next turn, Astral uses this card with "Gogogo Golem" as Xyz Material for the Xyz Summon of "Number 39: Utopia". Later, this card is sent to the Graveyard when "Utopia" is destroyed by the effect of Yugi's "Dark Magician Knight".
