Anime
Duelist Kingdom
- In episode 4, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Weevil Underwood. When Weevil's "Basic Insect" (which had been strengthened by the Field Power Bonus, "Laser Cannon Armor" and "Level 2 Power Boost") attacks "Dark Magician", Yami Yugi activates this card to destroy all of Weevil's Attack Mode monsters.
- In episode 10, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Ghost Kaiba. When Ghost Kaiba attacks Yugi's "Mystical Elf" with his third "Blue-Eyes White Dragon", Yugi activates this card to destroy all Attack Mode monsters Ghost Kaiba controls, but the imposter activates "Negate Attack" to stop the redirected attack and save his "Blue-Eyes White Dragon".
- In episode 21, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Paradox Brothers. When "Gate Guardian" attacks "Flame Swordsman", Yami Yugi activates this card, but the brothers uses Gate Guardian's second section's effect to protect it from the attack. The brothers' "Monster Tamer" is still destroyed.
- In episode 29, Yami Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Mai Valentine. He intends to activate this card when Mai's "Harpie's Pet Dragon" attacks his "Dark Magician". Mai then activates "Shadow of Eyes" to switch "Dark Magician" to Attack Mode and force it to attack "Harpie Lady". The effect of "Mirror Wall" then negates the attack and halves the ATK of "Dark Magician". This card is then destroyed by Mai's "Harpie's Feather Duster".
- In episode 33, this card appears when Yami Yugi explains to Joey that Duel Monsters is about the balance between Monsters and Magic and Trap Cards.
- In episode 37, Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Maximillion Pegasus. When Pegasus' "Toon Summoned Skull" attacks Yugi's "Dark Magician", Yugi activates "Living Arrow to activate the effect of Pegasus's "Magical Neutralizing Force" as the effect of "Living Arrow" and destroy Pegasus' "Toon World" and presumably "Gorgon's Eye". Yugi then activates this card to deflect "Toon Summoned Skull's" attack back at Pegasus's monsters, destroying them.
Legendary Heroes
- In episode 45, Yami Yugi uses this card to protect himself, Joey Wheeler and Mai from the swarm of Insect monsters that were attacking the trio. The storm of explosions that were caused by the insects' destruction created a fire that disturbed the "Cocoons of Evolution", causing them to hatch into three "Great Moths".
Battle City
- In episode 51, Yugi uses this card during his Duel against Bandit Keith while the latter was being possessed by Marik Ishtar. When Keith's "Zera the Mant" attacks Yugi's "Dark Magician", Yugi activates this card to destroy all Attack Mode monsters Keith controls, but Keith activates "Solemn Judgment" to negate this card's effect and destroy it.
- In episode 53, this card appears on a poster that Yugi and Téa read when they find a game store selling Duel Monster cards.
- In episode 68, Umbra uses this card during his Tag Duel with Lumis against Yami Yugi and Seto Kaiba. When Kaiba activates the effect of "Obelisk the Tormentor" to Tribute "Lord of Dragons" and "Hyozanryu" and inflict 4000 damage to both Rare Hunters, Umbra activates this card to destroy all Attack Mode monsters Yami Yugi and Kaiba control. However, "Mirror Force" is ineffective against "Obelisk", given its status as an Egyptian God.
- In episode 85, this card can be seen when Yugi is rebuilding his Deck.
Virtual World
- In episode 99, this card appears when Yami Yugi was building his Virtual World Deck before his Duel with Gansley.
- In episode 102, Téa Gardner sets this card during her Duel against Crump. On Crump's turn, he summons "Giant Red Seasnake" and activates "Cold Wave" to prevent both players from using any Spell or Trap Cards for one turn. "Giant Red Seasnake" then attacks and destroys Téa's "Ancient Elf". Later, Téa activates "Mystical Space Typhoon" to destroy Crump's set "Gust". Crump then activates "Driving Snow" to destroy this card.
- In episode 103, the Level 3 door uses this card while Yugi and Yami were going through a door puzzle. When "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight" attacks the Level 3 door monster, "Dark King of the Abyss", the door activates this card to destroy "Swift Gaia the Fierce Knight".
- In episode 108, this card can be seen when Seto Kaiba was building his Deck for his Duel against Leichter.
- In episode 112, Yami Yugi sets this card during his Tag Duel with Joey Wheeler against the Big Five. After he sets this card, he lures the Big Five's attention to him from Joey. Later, Nezbitt activates "Heavy Storm" to destroy this card. "Machine King" then attacks "Des Volstgalph", but Yugi reveals that what he did was a trick as "Des Volstgalph" gained 200 ATK when Nezbitt activated "Heavy Storm". As a result of this, "Des Volstgalph" destroys "Machine King". "Des Volstgalph" then inflicts 500 damage to Nezbitt.
- This card also appears in a flashback Yugi has when he explains how his "Des Volstgalph" gained 200 ATK despite that he had no Spell or Trap Cards on his side of the field.
Battle City Finals
- In episode 123, Yami Marik uses this card during the four-way Battle Royal between himself, Yami Yugi, Joey Wheeler, and Seto Kaiba. When Yugi attacks Kaiba directly with "Archfiend of Gilfer", Kaiba activates "Attack Guidance Armor" to redirect the attack to Marik's "Lord Poison". Yami Marik then activates this card to destroy all Attack Mode monsters Yugi controls, but Yugi activates "Seven Tools of the Bandit" to negate Yami Marik's this card and destroy it. The attack continues, destroying "Lord Poison".
Waking the Dragons
- In episode 164, Yami Yugi uses this card during his Duel against an Orichalcos Soldier. When the soldier's "Orichalcos Gigas" (whose ATK was 2400 due to its own effect and "The Seal of Orichalcos") attacks "Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts", Yami Yugi activates this card to destroy "Orichalcos Gigas". The soldier then uses the effect of "Orichalcos Gigas" summon itself again (this made the ATK of "Orichalcos Gigas" 2900).
- In episode 165, Rebecca Hawkins uses this card during her Tag Duel with Duke Devlin against Valon. When "Big Bang Blow" attacks "Diamond Head Dragon" (whose ATK was 4200 due to the effect of "Adamantine Sword Revival", Rebecca activates this card to destroy all Attack Mode monsters Valon controls, but Valon uses the effect of "Trap Buster" to negate this card's effect and destroy it.
- In episode 178, Yami Yugi sets this card during his Tag Duel with Kaiba against Dartz. In the next episode, Yami Yugi refuses this card as he found out that Dartz's "Mirror Knight Tokens" have the souls of his friends in them (Yugi Muto, Joey Wheeler, Mai Valentine and Maximillion Pegasus) and could not risk destroying his friends' souls. In the following episode, Kaiba activates "The Fang of Critias" to merge it with this card in order to Special Summon "Mirror Force Dragon". In the next episode, Dartz's "Orichalcos Shunoros" attacks "Legendary Knight Critias", but Yami Yugi uses the effect of "Legendary Knight Critias" to activate this card from the Graveyard. This card was then banished afterwards.

- In episode 221, Yami Yugi sets this card during his Duel against Yugi. In the next episode, "Silent Swordsman LV0" (whose ATK was 3500 due to its own effect) attacks "Obelisk the Tormentor" (whose ATK was 500 due to "Ground Erosion" and "Slifer the Sky Dragon's" effect), but Yami Yugi activates this card to destroy all monsters that Yugi controls.[2]
Manga
- In the duel's manga version of the Ceremonial Battle between Atem and Yugi, Atem activates this card to save his "Dark Magician" from the effect of Yugi's "Gandora the Dragon of Destruction" which destroys "Gandora".

- In episode 5, this card can be seen in Jaden Yuki's hand during his Duel against Titan. In the next episode, "Terrorking Archfiend" attacks Jaden directly, but Jaden activates this card, to destroy "Terrorking Archfiend" and "Infernalqueen Archfiend". Yu-Gi-Oh! 5D's
- In episode 7, Bolt Tanner sets this card during his Ground Duel against Yusei Fudo while the latter was using Tenzen Yanagi's Deck. Yusei later destroys this card with "Triangle O".
- In episode 21, Bolt Tanner mentions "Mirror Force" when he gives an example of a game-breaking card.
- In episode 62, this card was shown in a flashback that was explained by Rex Goodwin. After Roman Goodwin had defeated Rex, he is shown dropping three Trap Cards, one of which is this card. Roman then realizes that his brother had lost the Duel on purpose. Rex then reveals that he purposely lost so that he would become a Dark Signer.
- In episode 76, this card can be seen at the bottom of Kaz's Deck after Jack Atlas took "Chaos King Archfiend" from the bottom of Kaz's Deck.
- In episode 80, this card was part of a Duel Puzzle that Crow Hogan, Jack Atlas, Yusei Fudo and Bruno had to solve in order to find out who stole Yusei's program. Aside from being on the field in Defense Mode, this card played no actual part in any of the attempts made by Crow, Jack, and Bruno when they tried to solve the Duel Puzzle. When Crow attempted to solve the Duel Puzzle, he equipped "Shooting Star Bow - Ceal" to "Green Gadget" to decrease the latter's ATK by 1000. "Tragoedia"(whose ATK was 3000 due to its effect) then attacks "Green Gadget", but the Robot activates this card to destroy "Tragoedia", resulting in Crow failing to solve the puzzle. When Jack attempted to solve the puzzle, he equipped "Axe of Despair" to "Tragoedia", increasing its ATK by 1000. "Tragoedia(whose ATK was 3000 due to its effect) then attacked "Green Gadget" as Jack assumed the face-down card in the Duel Puzzle was changed. Unfortunately this assumption was wrong as the robot then activated this card to once again destroy "Tragoedia", resulting in Jack failing to solve the puzzle. Bruno then took a turn to solve the puzzle. Thanks to his strategy, he was able to remove "Green Gadget" from the field with "Tribute to the Doomed" and take control of "Ancient Gear Soldier"(who had the ability to forbid the opponent from activating Spells and Traps when it attacks) with "Cost Down" and the effect of "Tragoedia". Bruno then equipped "Axe of Despair" onto "Ancient Gear Soldier", increasing its ATK by 1000. "Ancient Gear Soldier" then attacks "Stronghold the Moving Fortress" (who now had 0 ATK since "Green Gadget", "Red Gadget", and "Yellow Gadget" were not all present on the field). Because of "Ancient Gear Soldier"'s effect, the Password Robot could not activate this card to stop the attack, allowing Bruno to successfully destroy "Stronghold the Moving Fortress", deplete the Robot's remaining Life Points, and solve the Duel Puzzle.
- This is the Featured Card for episode 80.
- In episode 85, Crow sets this card during his Ground Duel against Lyndon. Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL
- In episode 12, this card appears in a flashback of Reginald Kastle's as part of Quattro's Deck at a National Tournament. It was one of the many cards that can be seen after Quattro's Deck fell off of the plant pot it was on. Shark notices these cards and was pressured to look at them. During the duel between Shark and Quattro, the latter sets a card face-down. Shark theorized that the set card is probably this card as Quattro would probably use that in this sort of situation. Shark realizes that he can win the duel now, but before Shark can conduct the turn that would have probably won him the duel, the duel is canceled and Shark is disqualified from the Duel as the security cameras caught Shark peeking at Quattro's Deck before the Duel, causing Reginald a lifetime ban from the Duel Circuit. Quattro later reveals in episode 26 to Reginald that he purposely left his Deck on the plant pot in order to get Shark disqualified.
