OCG Rulings
- The effect that negates the effects of Trap Cards does not start a chain. When the opponent activates a Trap Card, at the time that effect will resolve, the effect of this card is applied immediately.[1]
- After this card has been equipped, if the opponent activates a Trap Card, this effect must be applied mandatorily when that effect resolves.[1]
- The effect that negates the effects of Trap Cards is applied even during the Damage Step or Damage Calculation.[1]
- This effect can negate the effects of Counter Trap Cards activated by the opponent.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: If a player has "Abyss-scale of Cetus" equipped to a monster, and the opponent activates a Set "Abyss-sphere", how does the effect of "Abyss-scale of Cetus" apply?
- A: If a player has "Abyss-scale of Cetus" equipped to a monster, and the opponent activates any Set Continuous Trap Card, only the effect that applies when the Trap Card resolves in a chain will be negated by "Abyss-scale of Cetus".
