OCG Rulings
- This card can be Special Summoned either using the effect of a card such as "Polymerization", using 3 Link Monsters as materials, or by its written procedure of Tributing 3 Link Monsters in your Monster Zone. (Both methods are considered the way to properly Special Summon this card.)[1]
- When using a card such as "Polymerization" to Fusion Summon this card, this card is Special Summoned when resolving that card's effect, however, Special Summoning this card by its other written procedure does not start a Chain.[1]
- This card's effect that allows it to attack all monsters on your opponent's field once each is a Continuous Effect.[1]
- This card's effect that destroys an opponent's Link Monster and inflicts damage to your opponent is a Trigger Effect. (It does not target. Banishing 1 Link Monster from your Monster Zone or from your GY with the same Link Rating as the opponent's battling Link Monster is the cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- Destroying the opponent's Link Monster and inflicting damage to your opponent happen simultaneously.[1]
Q&A Rulings
- Q: My opponent's "Superheavy Samurai Scarecrow" and my "Almarduk the World Chalice Guardragon" are the Extra Monster Zone. In this situation, when those 2 monsters battle, can I activate the effect of my "Almarduk the World Chalice Guardragon"?
- A: Even if your "Almarduk the World Chalice Guardragon" battles an opponent's Link Monster with an original ATK of 0, you can activate its effect. In this scenario, "Superheavy Samurai Scarecrow" is destroyed by the effect, but since its original ATK is 0, your opponent takes no damage.[2][3]
