OCG Rulings

  • This card is a "Blue-Eyes" monster.[1]
  • This card's effect that prevents it from being targeted or destroyed by your opponent's card effects is a Continuous Effect.[1]
  • This card's effect that destroys a card on your opponent's field is an Ignition Effect.[1]
  • This effect targets 1 card on your opponent's field. Furthermore, if this card was Fusion Summoned using a monster whose original name is "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" as a material, you can target 2 or 3 cards on your opponent's field instead. (In that case, when you activate the effect, you will choose whether the effect will target 1, 2, or 3 cards.)[1]
  • You cannot activate this effect during your Main Phase 2 if "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon" attacked during this turn.[1]

Q&A Rulings

A: The materials required to Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon" are 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"s. In this scenario, the effect of "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon" that treats it as "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" is not applied while it is in your hand. Since you do not have 3 "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"s in your hand to use as materials, you cannot Fusion Summon "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon" with "Polymerization".[2]
A: In this scenario, even if "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon" was Fusion Summoned by the effect of "Necro Fusion" and the materials were banished face-down, it was Fusion Summoned using a monster whose original name is "Blue-Eyes Alternative White Dragon". Therefore, when activating its effect, you can target 2 or 3 of your opponent's cards to destroy.[3]
A: In this scenario, even if one of the cards targeted by the effect "Blue-Eyes Alternative Ultimate Dragon" is no longer on the field when the effect resolves, any remaining targeted cards are destroyed normally. (This card cannot attack during this turn as usual.)[4][5]
