OCG Rulings

  • The remove from play part of the effect and damage part of the effect resolves simultaneously.
  • The damage will still be applied if a face-down monster that was removed from play was DARK.
  • DARK monsters that are equipped to another monster (for example, by the effect of "Relinquished") will not allow not cause 1000 damage to be inflicted when removed from play with "Caius the Shaodw Monarch's" effect, as it was treated as an Equip Spell Card prior to removal.
