OCG Rulings
- "You can also Xyz Summon this card by using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster you control as the Xyz Material, other than "Constellar Ptolemy M7". (Xyz Materials attached to that monster also become Xyz Materials on this card.) If Summoned this way, the following effect cannot be activated this turn" is not treated as a monster effect.[1]
- Placing this card on top of a "Constellar" Xyz Monster is treated as a proper Xyz Summon of this card. (However, if "Constellar Ptolemy M7" is Special Summoned this way, it cannot activate its effects that turn.)[1]
- The effect that returns 1 monster to the hand is an Ignition Effect. (Detaching 1 Xyz Material from this card is a cost to activate this effect.)[1]
- This effect targets 1 monster in either player's Monster Zone, or 1 monster in either player's Graveyard.[1]
- Q: During the turn "Constellar Ptolemy M7" was Xyz Summoned using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster as Xyz Material, if "Constellar Ptolemy M7" is changed to face-down Defense Position by the effect of "Book of Moon" and then flipped face-up during the same turn, can its effect be activated during that turn?
- A: If a "Constellar Ptolemy M7" that was Xyz Summoned using a "Constellar" Xyz Monster as Xyz Material is changed to face-down Defense Position by the effect of "Book of Moon" and then flipped face-up during the same turn, its effect can be activated during that turn.[2]
- Q: If "Constellar Ptolemy M7" is the only monster on the field, can its effect be activated by targeting the Xyz Material that was detached as a cost to activate its effect?
- A: Even if "Constellar Ptolemy M7" is the only monster on the field, its effect can be activated by targeting the Xyz Material that was detached as a cost to activate its effect.[3]
