OCG Rulings
- The effect of "Dark Artist" is a Continuous Effect.[1]
- If "Dark Artist" becomes the attack target of a LIGHT monster, its effect is applied only during damage calculation for that battle, and its DEF is halved. (After that damage calculation, the DEF of "Dark Artist" returns to its previous value.)[1]
- The effect is also applied if a face-down Defense Position "Dark Artist" is flipped face-up by the attack of a LIGHT monster.[1]
- If the DEF of "Dark Artist" has been changed by another card's effect, the effect of "Dark Artist" halves its current DEF on the field.[1]
