OCG Rulings

Q&A Rulings

A: Even if the monster targeted with the effect of "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is in face-down Defense Position when its effect resolves, "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" itself is Special Summoned normally, but its Level does not change. Furthermore, in this case, "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is still placed on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field.[1]
A: If "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect, its Level remains reduced as long as it remains face-up on the field, also the effect that places it on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field is applied as long as it remains face-up on the field.[2]
A: If a "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect has its effects negated by "Skill Drain", its Level returns to its original Level. (However, "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is still placed on the bottom of the Deck if it leaves the field.)[3]
A: As in this scenario, even if a "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect leaves the field while the effect of "Macro Cosmos" is applying, it is placed on the bottom of the Deck.[4]
A: If the effect of "Compulsory Evacuation Device" is applied to a "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect, it returns to the bottom of the Deck. (It does not return to the hand.)[5]
A: When a "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect is used as Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon, the part of its effect that returns it to the bottom of the Deck is not applied. If "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is detached while it is an Xyz Material, it is sent to the Graveyard normally.[6]
  • Q: I activate the effect of "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson", targeting a face-up "Linkslayer" on my field. If my opponent chains "Compulsory Evacuation Device" and returns "Linkslayer" to my hand, how does the effect of "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" resolve?
A: Even if a monster targeted with the effect of "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is no longer on the field when that effect resolves, "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" is Special Summoned, but its Level does not change. Even in this case, "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" still returns to the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field.[7]
A: You can target a "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" that was Special Summoned by its own effect with the effect of "Knightmare Unicorn". If "Knightmare Unicorn" was co-linked when its effect was activated, the part of the effect that allows you to draw a card can be applied normally.[8]
A: Since "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" will be placed on the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field, it cannot be included among the monsters banished to Special Summon "Trishula, the Ice Prison Dragon" by its own procedure. (In this scenario, you cannot Special Summon "Trishula, the Ice Prison Dragon" from the Extra Deck.)[9]
A: In this scenario, since "Destrudo the Lost Dragon's Frisson" would be placed on the bottom of the Deck when it leaves the field, it cannot be banished to Special Summon "Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon".[10]
