- Sending a Rock-Type monster to the Graveyard [sic] is an optional Maintenance Cost for "Gaia Plate the Earth Giant".[2]
- The effect "Halve the ATK and DEF of any monster that battles with this card." of "Gaia Plate the Earth Giant" is a Continuous Effect which is applied during Damage Calculation. This effect does not start a Chain.[3]
